so, 'sup my watchers? those of you that haven't stopped watching this space, that is. I'm gonna try and be more active around here. C: <3 thanks for any support!

I'll admit, I went in with so-so expectations. I try not to buy into hype when I watch movies because oftentimes it turns out a disappointment. But damn, I enjoyed myself. I dare even to say that I loved it. Yes, I could nitpick about technicalities and certain things like that, but it didn't diminish the fact that the movie as a whole made me unexpectedly, wonderfully happy.

Also lest I forget, Mr. Fox was fantastic, and so is stop-motion. <3 What a quirky, brilliant movie; best of all, it left me with a warm, satisfied feeling when it ended, as if I'd just eaten a great meal. Not that many movies have that effect on me, especially these days.

I hope you guys reading this that haven't watched either movie will go out and see them. The reason that Disney made the decision to end their traditional animation department in the first place was because the corporates in charge thought that traditional animation wasn't something people would go and see anymore. If you disagree with this statement, then you can do something by proving them wrong and helping make traditionally-animated movies commercial successes, not just critical.

I support traditional and stop-motion animators! and I hope you do too, because my friends and I could use employment in these troubled times. C:

On Saturday, I was there with stormyhotwolf88, elvynne and her fiance. We watched some of the demos together (Obedience, rally, Agility) and then separated to do our own thing for a bit. I was just happy to wander around the place and take photos of all the animals! It was REALLY wonderful to be around dogs again, especially my Italian Greyhounds <3 The owners loved my shirt: http://www.cafepress.com/dogs_of_war/2522039 :D

HUGE bummer though: the whippets weren't there. :[ I can understand if the logistics didn't work out or something happened with the AWC, but for goodness sake, guys, keep us honestly informed about what breeds will ACTUALLY be there. As you can see from the site, it definitely gives the impression that every single breed would make a showing. Badly played, AKC + CFA. :\ I almost broke down crying when I realised, I was so disappointed. But eh, I had a good time anyway. Weirdly enough, the dachshunds weren't represented either, which I find even odder.

After the show was over we stood in the entrance and watched all the dogs parade outside. Pretty sweet. Then we basically hung out till midnight talking about stuff. I had a great time, guys! Tim, Elvynne, it was great to get to actually talk to you properly this time. :D We should hang out more.

On Sunday I went in the afternoon with some friends from school. We had a lot of fun and I took a lot more photos! And afterward we went downstairs where they were doing a cat adoption drive. There were some really sweet and beautiful looking shelter kitties. <3

So yeah, very eventful and animal-filled weekend! I'm very happy.
