missed deadlines and delays
Posted 7 months agoim really sorry for all delays and missing deadlines
im in a really bad place and im trying to crawl out as soon as possible
i dont really know how to convey whats going on without it seeming like im fishing for sympathy
as first and foremost i should be doing my job
especially with how kind and patient literally all commissioners have been with me for my whole time offering commissions
i just want to say i keep track of and am always working on things
its also always 100% ok to check up on progress or set deadlines its never rude or demanding
i dont really know how to properly formulate this post and keep it brief/concise
Im really sorry for my current state

and I regrettably missed a lot of deadlines due to a heatwave back in august,
the double trouble of covid/flu plus burning my boob with a teabag in September
and a series of mental breakdowns all throughout
BUT I think I'm actually slowly starting to bounce back now
so I'm gonna try to do some serious catching up on work next week!

but it always feels like im looking for sympathy and sometimes peoples kind responses also sting
because it feels like there's a voice in the back of my head thinking "no, you should be furious with me for letting you down"
I'm still caught in a whirlwind of grief like a cheap plastic bag in a tornado
and it kinda feels like its only getting worse now that the shock is wearing off
and a lot of the leftover business is dealt with
I'm trying to get back to a more stable condition as soon as I can

My dad passed away
Posted 2 years agoremember last journal when i said things would get way worse before they could ever possibly get better
it happened about a month ago despite everything it was very sudden and very unpleasant and I'm not dealing with it very well
so i apologize for any delays and i might open up a gofundme to pay for my portion of the funeral costs
and all the other costs related to his passing if I'm left with no other choice

It might honestly get worse before it gets better and all I can really do is get better at coping with it

My mental health has been on a rapid decline in the last 2 years to the point of it severely affecting my physical well-being
A lot I can't really deal with well has happened on top of that, creating a bit of a spiral which is hard to escape
Due to all of this, I ended up with a large debt of overdue bills I now need to pay as soon as possible
I thought about opening up a gofundme several times but it always felt wrong to ask for help with problems I caused for myself
I still don't know if I'm ok with asking for donations even now so I'm going to try giving my all to pay it off myself first
I hope this didn't come across as too whiney or anything, and I really appreciate all of you for being so extremely patient with me. <3
