[STREAM] - Today's stream o/

Stream will bea bit late today but should happen somewhere between 3 and 4 pm o/ Considering making it a two day stream kind of cause I forgot that I had longer class today ;v; woops! Anyways, see you guys later o/
Here is the journal for today' stream o/ Be sure to give it a look if you haven't last time ;v; /
Also, I haven't given it consideration much yet this week, but I am looking into getting a mod for the chat during streams o/ if you guys have an input on how I shoudl proceed to choose someone for the task, let me know ! I frankly have no idea as I never had to before x.x but after the last stream I think it'd be good to. I also dont want to impose a task on someone and thats the hardest part x.x If any of you have experience in chats where they picked a mod, let me know how they did : o it would be very appreciated ~
As per usual, the stream, it SHOULD start at 2pm my time (UTC-4, Eastern Daylight Time).

- Send me all the information in a note when I give you the ok, along with your paypal.
- Payment should be sent when I start working on your commission, otherwise I can decide to not proceed with the art until paid.
- Two characters maximum per stream sketch. The usual +1/2 price applies here.
- Backgrounds will not be charged for stream sketches.
- I will not accept any character creation-type of art (ex: lenghty text descriptions of a character or request of a certain type of creature with a specific palette, etc)
- Pertaining to the above rule, all art I make must have a character reference already.

I wanted to apologise for skipping stream last sunday ! I couldn't be home to make it and didn't find the time to write a journal in time to let you guys know x.x
Anyways, I want to let you guys know that I will be streaming today instead, and I am just unsure if it should be a stream in which I take stream commissions or if I just get the stream up and work on the to-do list. If you guys have any preferences, let me know :' )

I won't take stream sketches those days (altho I'll be finishing today's sketches I couldnt finish x.x ) but then I'll be working on the commission list o/

Just letting you guys know that I wont be home in time for the usual streaming schedule ! As such I wont be doing stream sketches and all BUT I am considering working on the current list when I get home and do so while streaming ! Ive been so busy lately I think itll be good to do just that :')

[SCHEDULE] - Job and stream

Alright, so I know what my schedule is going to be this week and the next !
Good thing, I should be able to stream this sunday no problem, since next monday is a holiday. However, for the coming weeks, there won't be any streams on wednesdays and fridays. Only on sundays, when announced (the schedule may also shift to be a bit earlier than the current times, because I will be working morning shifts, so going to bed at impossible times will be a no-no).
For now, next stream will most probably be sunday, september 2nd.
After this one, it should be sunday september 9th, but I will confirm with you guys.
Those are the two days I will very likely stream. Stream may start at 10 am instead of 2pm, so a whole 4 hours earlier. For this as well, I shall confirm with you guys the day before.

- Spots will be given randomly, so comment on this journal to let me know of your interest. I will pick the winners using a randomizer and notice the ''winners'' 30 minutes before stream. A journal will be written with the winners announced in it too o/
- Winers in the previous stream will not be allegible to be picked in the current stream. There should be a skip of at least one stream before you can participate again.
- I will handle the commission taking before the stream.
- Send me all the information in a note when I give you the ok, along with your paypal.
- Payment should be sent when I start working on your commission, otherwise I can decide to not proceed with the art until paid.
- Two characters maximum per stream sketch. The usual +1/2 price applies here.
- Backgrounds will not be charged for stream sketches.
- I will not accept any character creation-type of art (ex: lenghty text descriptions of a character or request of a certain type of creature with a specific palette, etc)
- Pertaining to the above rule, all art I make must have a character reference already.
- Since the spots are limited, only ask for one slot.
- You CANNOT gift your spot to someone else for any reason, wether with good intentions or not. If you ask for a spot, be aware that you have to either concede it or take it. If you concede, I will randomly chose someone else.
- If some slots are still available after the stream starts, the remaining slot will be raffle later in the stream. Most specifically, after the first slot has been drawn. Anyone who comes by later and sees that there are still slots open as well as stream participants, can then comment on the journal announcing the winners of the current stream for a chance to be picked for the remaining slot.
- The second draw time will be from the moment the stream is on, until about mid-stream or if I finished all the current pieces so far.
- Those picks will be done in the usual method : random dot org.

First of all, thank you so much for all your inputs ! It had me thinking a lot the past couple days, and this journal is the result of it.
I took a bit longer to think on the topic of my wing-it commissions during streams, as I wanted to take in as much of your inputs as I possibly could and discuss them with the people around me. I have not replied individually, but be sure that I read and considered them all. However, in the end, for a number of factors I shall explain shortly, I decided to go with my initial decision. I thought long and hard on a few suggestions, namely Xxxll3's suggestion on my previous journal, to which I admit I was debating for a while and was leaning towards, but decided against due to very recent changes.
I would like to first explain that art and drawing in itself, to me, is a hobby to which I am lucky enough to be able to thrive in if need be. I love drawing and will always draw whenever possible and that is fact. However, it is not a career path I wish to pursue. There is many a thing I would do differently if it was something I wished to pursue fulltime in hopes of achieving a stable job in art. But I do not, and as such, I wish to keep things more casual and simpler. Art is something I want to enjoy, first and foremost, and not turn into a chore with too many rules and guidelines and just, no. I like it friendly, as it is.
Starting monday, I will be working a 40 hour/week job for a small period of time (I got a job, yay !), that may end up extended, depending on how I perform and what happens in that time. I will keep you guys posted on the schedule changes, but the day I find a stable long-term job, it'll mean that I will be busy 40+ hours per week for a very long time, and thus, won't be able to stream as often as I can right now. Keep in mind that, in my life plans and goals, within these five coming years, including this year, I plan to have kids. It will give me even less time to draw.
These things might seem unrelated to the streams right now, but they make me realise how much I want to enjoy the now before I can't as much anymore. And for the future, I want to be able to enjoy the times that I will be able to do streams. Keeping things simple is one part of it. The other part of my decision is based on what I think is fairer to everyone who wants drawings from me. Keeping things black and white and simple seems to be the fair and simple way to do thing. Have wing-its be what they should be in design, and leave the colored sketches as what they are as well. One is complete artistic freedom, the other is guided or fully dictated art.
It might seem a little strict, and doesn't offer many options, but these are streams. I have to keep it simple if I want to make the time. I want people to have the equivalent work to what they pay for, but I also have to balance time and my enjoyment of it. I can't be fair to everyone if I am not towards myself, so decisions needs to be made.
It is not the best option per say, but it is what I believe is best with me and what I do. I do think that, with a little time, Xxxll3's suggestion might be better, but it woudl take time to detail everything proper and avoid repeating the same issue that I have currently. It is more trouble than I am willing to give, considering that sooner than later, I may or may not be able to even stream once per week. Right now does not represent the norm for the future, and for that, keeping things simple, within two very defined options, is the ideal way. Three streams per week, currently, is more of a luxury than anything else. Because I don't have a stable job yet, because I do not have kids yet, because I don't do volunteer work yet, etc. I am not perfect, far from it, but I want to do my best with what I have to offer. I can only hope that most of you understand why I ended up taking those decisions.
If anything, I will be streaming tomorow and you guys can come and talk directly with me about it all, we can discuss it more. I am open to honesty just as I am being honest with all of you. Be it good or bad.
In preparation for tomorow, let me reiterate how I will function :
- Wing-its are full artistic freedom. I will accept 1-2 word themes at most, nothing more. They will be 20$US.
- Colored sketches are partial or fully guided artworks. I have barely if no artistic freedom. These are 35$US.

Hope you are doing fine o/ I am writing this journal as a follow-up to the notice I added to the stream journal yesterday. I am aware that very few people actually read over the stream journal every time one is posted. However, I would suggest that you keep an eye out at the top of the stream journal as I tend to write important messages and updates regarding streams ! It also lets you all know if anything special is supposed to happen during streams as well (like start time, break periods, and the occasionnal address to some of the rules in place).
Anyways, that is a suggestion seeing as very important news will be discussed in a separate journal normal, like this one, but wnated to point out that I do use the stream journal to talk to you guys and not always just post it as template ;v;
Speaking of important information, I have two major changes coming up starting tomorow (shoudl be), of which you guys can give me your input on wether you find them to be reasonable or not ! I take every input seriously since I can't possibly think about everything by myself.
The first change I want to make is up the prices of wing-it commissions in stream. Instead of 15$US, they would be 20$US. Know that extra characters are and will always be half the base price as extra (so 20 base + 10 extra). It is an augmentation I believe to be fair, given the quality of the wing-it being equal to regular colored sketches.
The second element I want to tackle also has to do with wing-its. Basically, I have become too lenient I think with inputs on wing-its. So much so that sometimes it is hard for me to say wether they are a wing-it (a drawing to which I am free to draw what I want to draw) and a colored sketch. It should be clear cut, but I've struggled a few times in the past couples of week enough to make me question it. As such, I don't want to be too strict, but I have to set a clear limit and indication for wing-its.
Basically, from now on, when asking for a wing-it, I will only accept ONE or TWO WORDED THEMES as direction. Nothing else. An example would be :
- Character ref sheet
- Theme : Sunny day
And that is all. I will not look at any extra fluff text that may pertain to the desired image if what is asked is a wing-it. Things like :
« My character has no shame, and she would definitely be the type to dress in a skippy bikini, drinking some soda. It's a wing-it, so you decide. Oh and also, she can be teasing and mischievious. » are a no-no. I know I accepted personnality traits before, but this enters the realm of colored sketches.
The reason behind this reasoning is that, even if it can be considered a wing-it even with this type of description, it already puts precise context and imagery in my mind, to which I feel like I am not as free as it should be. In this scenario, I would probably end up drawing the character in a skimpy bikini, drinking soda with a smirk on her face or some sort. It takes mroe mental prowess to not include elements being proposed, than it seems. THUS why it can be hard for me to figure out if it is a proper wing-it or a colored sketch and has me perplexed.
I do hope you guys understand my stance and my point of view on this and won't take it too harshly ;;;
In short, Wing-it should only be your character(s) reference(s) and maybe a one or two word theme. If I ask you for the characters personnality, you give me a couple bullet points (ex: teasing, conniving, brash, etc). Nothing more.
Do let me know if you guys think that is alright or if I'm being too much x.x ! I know it is not you guys fault, but my own initially for not making things clearer from the start. Any input will be greatly appreciated !

Heya guys ! Asking for some input on upcoming changes ahead, which I am thinking of applying from the next stream onward.
- I am planning some changes mostly regarding wing-its. First of all, I have been thinking for a while of augmenting the price a little bit, instead fo 15$US, it would be 20$US. I don't want them to cost much (these already being considerably cheaper than what I've seen on average from other people. I was surprised to see 35$US-40$US was regular for wing-it when I was looking around ! ), but given the time and equal quality to regular colored sketches, I thought it was alright to do so.
- I've also become a lot more lenient in what people request on wing-it commissions and I want to emphasise and make it very clear that the ONLY thing I am willing to accept going forward, to avoid any grey areas or doubt between wing-it and regular comms, will be THEMES. Themes should be summarized with one or two words at best, for example : ''beach'', ''date'', ''motherly love'', ''autumn'', ''lazyness'', ''mischievious twins'', etc. Any further descriptions won't be accepted for wing-its. Of course, during the stream, if I am doing something wrong regarding the desired characters design, you can let me know as these do not affect anything about the piece aside from making sure the character is accurate in desing, which is fine. Anything else is up to me: pose, clothes, expressions, actions, locations, etc given the theme if one is given.
Anyways, sorry for this, let me know what you guys think as I've been thinking for quite a while about those two things. I want to keep things fair and reasonable for you guys and for myself as much as possible,
