New items for selling at cons
Posted 11 years agoSo we went to MFF this last weekend and came up with a couple of new ideas for things to sell but we had the interesting idea of asking you the consumers what you might like to see.
Materials we use in our crafting include chainmaille and scale, leather, and yarn, (Amur has the tendency to knit when bored.)
So if anyone would like to make suggestions of things they'd like to see, we will do our best to meet the suggestions.
Ideas that we took away from MFF were lanyards(because everybody has their badge collection they want to show off), dicebags (for those tabletop gamers and such), as well as some bits of clothing.

Armor Measurements
Posted 11 years agoWhen doing these measurements, don't do them extremely tight. You need to be able to put the pieces on after we send them to you. Also you should do the measurements while wearing what you plan to wear under it.
Shirts:
Chest - widest part (usually the pecs/boob area)
Biceps - widest part when you flex your arm
Length - measure from the top of the shoulder to the length you want it
Arm - measure from the shoulder joint to the length you want the sleeve to fall on you arms
Waist - armor is not very useful if it doesn't cover all the areas that need protection or makes it hard to breath
Spaulders/Pauldrons/Rerebrace: Shoulder/upper arm protection - generally metal
Shoulder - widest part around the upper biceps or shoulder area
Elbow - just above the elbow
Length - shoulder to elbow
Across - from one shoulder to the other (this is more important for people getting these made separate from a shirt as I'll connect the two pieces with a couple lengths of leather so they stay up)
Bracers: generally leather
Elbow - measure just below the elbow
Wrist - kind of explains itself
Length - from elbow measurement to wrist measurement
These are just the kinds of pieces we've made or been asked to make to date. If you have a piece of armor you're interested in having made, as long as it falls between leather and scalemaille, we'll give it a shot.

Terms of Service
Posted 11 years agoSo people know how we're doing things and know what they are agreeing to when they commission us, here are our terms of service.
Payment and Shipping
50% of the quoted price for armor and fursuits are required before we will begin work. 1/2 of the down payment is non-refundable materials costs. The reason for this is that when we work on these types of projects, we will not be able to work on much else and still guarantee completion of your project in a timely manner.
Shipping is NOT included in the quotes for armor or fursuits. We won't know how much armor or fursuit pieces are going to weigh until we are done with them because of materials used.
Full payment is required for collars, dragons, and any other small pieces commissioned from us.
We are willing to do payment plans for armor and fursuit commissions but work will not begin until we have 50% of the quoted price.
We will not ship completed items until we have been paid in full.
Payments will be done through Paypal. Make sure it is sent as a payment no a gift.
Commissions
Message us here or by email at twindragoncrafters@gmail.com. We will respond as quick as we can.
When commissioning armor, we need accurate measurements depending on what piece of armor you are commissioning. See here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6239577/
We can tool designs into leather armor. Smoketail is more adept at the drawing thing and can help with specific designs. For smaller pieces, the design will have to be simpler.
A reference sheet is required for any fursuit work. if you don't have one, feel free to contact Smoketail about getting one.
A duck tape dummy is required for doing a body suit or legs.
Timing
We can easily complete any small projects within a day or two when we have the materials on hand.
If we have to order anything to complete your order, we will inform you right away, and it will take time for our supply company to fill the order and ship it (usually about a week).
We can inform you once we have the supplies to complete your commission so you have a gauge of time for us finishing it.
Fursuits and armor can take upwards of a month or so depending on the size of the overall project and what else we have going on.
We do not do rush orders on big projects. We will move as fast as we can while still making things look good but we both work so big projects will take time to complete.
Let us know if you need something by a specific event and we will do our best to accommodate.
