No longer lurking
Posted 3 months agoI feel like I'm in the running for longest time between signing up and actually uploading something. I joined Furaffinity almost 12 years ago now, and have used it regularly over the years to follow artists and writers I like, but never felt comfortable enough to create a sona or interact with the community; primarily due to the struggles I've had for most of my life with depression, anxiety, and negative self-view where I didn't feel like anyone would really want to get to know me and I was better off on the outside looking in.
Thankfully I'm in a better place with my mental health these days, and decided it was better late than never to create a character and get involved in the community. I thought about making a new account, but decided I'd rather just be open about it and keep moving forward. I had been thinking about creating a sona for a while, but wasn't sure exactly what I was going for so I decided to look into adopts to see if any felt right and found this one from VeilyVeil whose design I really liked. I've always liked cats, and the fact that cheetahs get stressed out easily and often bonded with dogs in captivity to help lower their stress levels certainly feels a bit relatable to me as someone who usually needed to have my friends push me to actually do things socially when I was younger.
I'm looking forward to getting some more art of Ty soon. Perhaps some wrestling/fighting themed ones, and possibly some D&D/Fantasy AU stuff, but we'll see. Thanks for reading this!
