Second order of business:
If you are reading this I do have another upcoming story that I finished. But I can't post it because it covers some spoilers. I will give the hint and you have to wait until the release and I deemed it as safe to set it out. Here is the hint to keep you guys in the loop or keep you guys guessing
1. I can publish the story on FA around the end of the second week of January and onwards
2. Involves a game monster that has been lacking stories of Muscle Growth
3. While it is brief, It will contain a game character that has yet to be released
4. The game is a RPG from Japan but popular internationally
5. The spoiler will be covered by the game's future DLC
6. The game's official Party has already set the date for the DLC
If you have your answer be correct, then I could send the story out to the lucky guesser for free and have them read it before I release it. To participate just put out your answer in this post on my journal and you're entered, you have to enter it like this "[GAME NAME]-[GAME CHARACTER]" on your comment. If anyone is correct then I'll reply to them and hide the poster and my comments. I'll close this little poll on 7th January to make it fair.

This is just a bit of a rant to know what is inside my depraved mind, on how I was cooking said story above

First I want to address how in the world did my mind cook up something like this story. And I guess we all got to start somewhere
Part 1 Finding Strength in Solace
I guess where it starts was years ago, I was once a Deviantart user and still is now. But my favorite topic was muscle growth. I just loved muscles growing and the characters gaining strength and power from it. My first and favorite story was a kid to bodybuilder muscle growth, the authors account is shut down and the page was promptly taken down, but I still have the old story in my drive
But back to the topic, the reason I am so fascinated was because they were bullied and pushed around and karma made them bigger than their bullies. Since I was in elementary, I was bullied a lot, where I am from I got my stuff hid from me, being dragged around and my things gone or stolen. It never went to fist fight, I learned from a very stupid mistake that nearly costed someone's eye, so I never actually got into a fight, so I ended up as an easy mark
I never told the bullying and harassments I got at school, I have single dad now remarried but back then it was just my dad trying to feed his two children, thankfully he could be a lot more understanding now, as an adult myself I understand his sacrifice for us. Anyways I never told him about the bullying I received, and found solace over the world known as the Internet. And that is how I came to find Deviantart and what follows it
But over the years, the recent MG content ran out and drying itself slowly on Deviantart, and that is how I manage to find myself here on Furaffinity. FA Had way more than Deviantart could offer, and I find myself here again and again. But even so There has been lacking of MG Stories too. And I have found myself wanting more until one video game character had me running back to Deviantart again
Part 2 Sonic the Hedgehog
When I was a kid I always played video games. I had an NDS that I played Pokémon franchise, Mario Kart, Mario Party and so on. But the one franchise I am always a fan of is Sonic. Sonic is my favorite character period, even now with my anime and video games rotted brain, Sonic the Hedgehog is always my favorite character.
I always wanted to play all of the Sonic games. But my Dad being old, told me video games is bad for you, which is somewhat true, some video games could have you doing stupid things, So my dad never bought me a new game console. But being a Sonic fan I don't let that stop me as Youtube was a thing, so I watched every single gameplay of every single sonic games. Nut only on the modern era games, I don't like the gamecube or old pixel hexagon graphics and prefer newer smooth 3D like looks. I watched everything Sonic 006, Generations, Colors, Lost World, even the non main games like Black Knight, Secret Rings and Rush and Rush Adventure
But there was one game I liked out of all of it, not only was it, what i think, SEGA saving grace on the Sonic Franchise. I think its the best game because It completely changes how you would play in a Sonic game. The game is Sonic Unleashed
Part 3 Unleashed
The first time I was exposed to this game was so long ago, I think I was still in elementary. Me and my brother had accompanied my dad looking around at a electronics store, was probably looking for a new TV or something. In one of the TV Demo was playing Sonic Unleashed Trailer. I was having fun seeing Sonic zooming around the stages. But then I saw Sonic transforming into a hideous monster. elementary school me was so scared, I nearly cried. But thankfully my dad was done with his business picked me and my brother and went home.
That me was scared because of that. But Deviantart enthusiast me decide to face up and decides to see Unleashed. And I have to admit, It was not bad, the story and the delivery was great. But I was more interested in the nighttime stages. I mentioned earlier about a hideous monster, turns out it was Sonic's Werehog form, This form changes Sonic's playstyle from fast paced side scrolling to a slow beat-em-up, and honestly while daytime/normal Sonic was cool, Werehog Sonic was a beast.
I had loved the Werehog's design because of the strength and muscle. While it lacked speed, it made up with power, and I like that. So past looked up on every bits and piece of media relating to the Werehog. I still remember my first Werehog TF story over at Deviantart, and remember several other stories that made up the Werehog as a Sonic's inner beast. And that bumped me to another piece of media that I never want to do with anything when I was young
Part 4 Werewolves
I never knew what werewolves are at first, when I saw the Wikipedia page it was half man half wolf. But I only see it as a hairy monster at the time, until Sonic the Werehog changed my perspective. Now I kinda like werewolves because they symbolize power at the time but adult me has saying it as a different meaning. it's not just power, but freedom.
Freedom to do what ever you want without anyone or anything hindering you. And to me it was enticing, to have that kind of freedom, where social pressure just doesn't exist. Just be yourself and nothing more, in a way I felt connected to the guy in the story where he was down on his luck, but when he turned into a werewolf I just felt liberated, to see all the negatives turn into positives. Not only that it was connecting me to Muscle growing and no more bullying the two things I want to see.
But, as I devoured more and more werewolf stories growing up. There are something I just felt something about certain stories...
Part 5 A Certain 'Feeling'
I don't know how to describe it. Have you ever had the feeling when you are invested in a sad movie, you cry at the protagonist's misfortune or death? or at a Horror movie where you scream at something scary?
When I was reading certain Werewolf TF stories, I always felt a weird feeling. It's like something in your brain snapped into place and when it does you felt a tingle either at your spine or all over your body your eyes starts to water, not kicking and screaming crying, just tears up. Also as you stared at the story you read it felt like you were immersed to the point almost staring at whatever device almost like you could bore holes into it.
Growing up, I fantasized transforming into a werewolf, giving up my humanity and just be free with instinct guiding me. And every time I do, this feeling always ends up coming back again and again. Sometime I just softly howl in my room, because If my dad or my brother found out, I would die out of embarrassment, and that feeling comes back again.
I just don't know what this feelings is and why I had this feeling. But it's not just Werewolf TF, most dark TF I read had this feeling too. I don't know what it is, but It is my main motivation when I was writing "Beast of Despair". I want the readers to feel the same thing I had and maybe share said feeling and if the story manage to deliver that. In the case if it did leave it in the comments, I would greatly appreciate it.
Part 6 Lycanrocs
Out of everything I could choose from why a Pokémon called Lycanroc? When Sun and Moon trailers came out for new Pokémon, they introduce Rockruff and Lycanroc, the Rockruff was cute like a little puppy you could keep as a pet. Midday Lycanroc was cool and confident, his wolf design was top notch. Midnight Lycanroc was a whole different beast, It was like every werewolf enthusiast dream to see this Pokémon, Confident feral pose, Gleaming red eyes, fanged smile, I just found my favorite Pokémon.
As a werewolf enthusiast, I wanted to see if the FA community make a story out of this mon, yet it was slow which is confusing to me as the Pokémon was recently dropped and some Pokémon got more attention than others. But I was patience, and was rewarded, there are some stories I find amusing, but not enough to sate me personally.
So I want to try to throw my hat on the ring. Unlike many others that took the Human to Lycanroc, I want to try Rockruff to Lycanroc and see what the result is. The end product is the story called "Beast of Despair". This story, its flow and events had been on my mind for years, It was the same storyline that made me had that 'feeling' over and over. So I want to try and share said story in here in FA, to see what kind of people or Werewolf and/or Lycanroc enthusiast could read my story.
Whew, congrats on making it this far, sorry to making it such a rant. Hopefully this could explain why my story was a bit on the messy side, while I have the storyline for years, I struggled for weeks just to make it into a cohesive story. And now I have newfound respect for any FA, Deviantart, or any story writers in general.
