I posted this to bluesky initially but I'll upload it here too, where I don't have a character limit!
I've put off talking about this because I just don't like making my issues super public & feeling like I'm begging for sympathy, I'm a big boy & I can handle these things, I just feel like I owe some explanation about why I've been so absent from my online spaces & why progress has been so slow with the art I owe people.

we think my older brother is not going to be with us much longer & i'm kind of in an anticipatory grief, and I've been there a while.
he's had some serious health issues (I'm not super comfortable elaborating fwiw) for a long time & it's been a slow, painful decline.
i think this might actually be it this time & it's taken its toll on my head, and the rest of my family.
i have unfinished commissions that have been sitting for a long time, i'm very sorry about the pause & intend to finish them.
my energy levels over the winter have been VERY low because of this and financial stress, along with my fulltime job.
I'm incredibly grateful for what I have but I've never managed this amount of... just, STUFF before. I would never unload all this on a client (and it's not my intention) but I've been absent even when friends contact me so I feel like I owed some explanation. things will get better after all of this, I just need to ride out the rest.

Life has been so incredibly busy lately, and I'm fighting off some of the seasonal depression that hits every year. It's really hitting some nights. Trucking through it, though. 1. Is there any interest in headshot or bust adopts? I don't see them very often so I was wondering.
They would be a good warmup for me & I want to do more adopts but I'm constrained on time trying to catch up with my owed work. Full body unique adopts are too much of a time sink atm.
2. I really wanna do some Pokemon adopts! Do you have any species you want to see? And do you prefer anthro or feral?
I really wish we had a poll feature for journals. 🤔
