Posted 14 years agoHopefully you've already guessed, but I've decided to finish Saturday's stream during the week.
This is basically my own fault, as I'm the one who decided it was fine to wake up just in time to eat a late lunch, but on the plus side I feel rested enough to handle the chores I've been putting off for a week or two so those need to take priority.
As usual, the week's stream schedule will be posted tonight.

Crossovers Comic (Voting open!)

Interact with my characters! Ask some of my OC's questions. Have them encounter one of your OC's in some interesting situation. Learn more about characters I've only just barely introduced... Or haven't even introduced at all!
This is a little odd, but, basically: for this stream, assume all of my OC's are present and available to interact with. NONE of it is 'canon,' but everyone will remain fully in-character. This means that you're not going to see, for instance, Tasha letting anyone push her around, or Okamitsune even THINKING about shrinking anything. If none of my OC's you know of seem to fit what you want, feel free to ask me about others- I've got LOTS of characters I still haven't posted about or who are still being developed!
By the by- some long-time (as much as two months or so can be considered long-time) stream watchers may recall that I used the previous OC Q&A session to introduce a new character (Akomachi Kami), who featured rather prominently in the following week's stream. Well... Heh. You'll see!

Where are the stories?
Posted 14 years agoSome of you may be wondering why it's taking so long to upload last week's stuff. Well, I've been busy this week (hence the no streams). Furthermore, I've decided that I'm not going to upload anything until I finish writing a program to handle the most annoying part of the upload process for me (converting .rtf formatting into FA's .txt formatting). This shouldn't be hard, but I haven't touched Java in over a year, and haven't done file handling in it since college.
So, there will be an unusual delay in THIS set of uploads, but once it's done, future uploads should be quicker and easier.
The management apologizes for the delays.
EDIT: lol stayed up later than reasonable and finished the stupid program, it's a horrible horrible not-right way to get the job done but it gets the job done so I don't care

I'm planning to clean the house room-by-room every night, and although I'll have Friday off I'm gonna be kinda busy with a family event that's likely going to keep me up so late that attempting to stream on Saturday would be a derptastic train wreck. Starts & Ends Livestream starting and ending early! (Over!)

1: It's not time to start the stream yet, but I am bored and don't want to start anything half an hour before streaming.
2: I have some chores I need to do tonight.

Also, because the 'prompts' for this one will be a bit longer, I'd like to handle it differently.
1: This stream's theme is "Starts & Ends." Before each new story, I will ask everyone with an idea for the subject of the story to post their idea. Then, I will arbitrarily, selfishly, and not-even-slightly-impartially pick whichever story most inspires my muse and turn it into a story. So don't feel bad if you aren't picked right away, or at all- my muse is a fickle lady with a short attention span.
2: Story ideas submitted for this stream must follow the theme of "Starts & Ends." ALL THIS MEANS is that your idea consists of an opening that starts the story, and an ending that ends the story. It'll be my job to write everything in between. You can give me anything from a sentence to a paragraph to a scene. Whatever works.
3: In order to submit an idea, PLEASE post a reply to this journal, rather than post it to the chat in the Livestream. If you CANNOT access FA during the stream, let me know and I'll probably make an exception for you, but only if I know.
4: If you want a story, PLEASE come to the stream. I won't say it's impossible to get picked if you aren't present, but it's unlikely as heck- the next time it happens will also be the first.

Posted 14 years agoSO! Scheduling any kind of stream this week turned out to be something of a train wreck, you may have noticed. Hopefully, none of you tried to rearrange your schedule or anything crazy like that to watch a stream, because seriously, don't do that. With some luck, next week may turn out better, but obviously I won't know in advance.
Honestly, after I've had so many plans put into the wringer over the course of just three days, I'm REALLY not feeling like trying to pre-pick what I'll be doing for the next 7 days, but I need to get in the habit of at least TRYING to plan things so here we go.

There was a lot of demand for the OC creation stream, so much so that I didn't get around to everyone! Therefore, I'll be doing a series of repeat sessions. I'll only be doing one or two bio/story combos per night, though.
As I promised them in the stream, gintasa will get auto-picked at the first available time for a story to go along with Zdenka's bio, and makaze will also get auto-picked for a story/bio in order to help him avoid going insane, if present.

I'm gonna work on those stories I didn't get around to last week. Which story will get finished first depends on which I feel like finishing first at the time. One is about a superhero were-Growlithe cop trying to stop the theft of some evolution stones, and features some muscle growth; The other is about a size-shifting coyote who tries to protect his home city from other size-shifters in a world that's just barely almost-but-not-quite-post-apocalyptic.
Neither is really porn (coyote story is relatively dark, by my standards), but I wanna write 'em, so I'm gonna write 'em.

I've mentioned in a couple earlier journals that I moved in to a new (town)house of my own a month or two back. Well, I'm finally getting around to having a housewarming party for it, and it's happening this Saturday (so, no Saturday stream). However, apparently, I was supposed to plan for this thing more than ONE week in advance, so I'm going to be a little busy trying to get everything in order now.
Also, the Akomachi Kami stream's results are up, if you wanna check 'em.

Some time during the week, I want to write a story purely for myself. Two, actually. However, I don't know what days during the week I will be busy. It will NOT be Monday (I just found out that Monday night will be my only chance to handle certain items needed for the party), and Tuesday would really require a bit of luck. Wednesday and Thursday are the most likely candidates. I'm off from work Friday, but I also have party-prep and car stuff I need to get done that day as well.
WHATEVER day is chosen, I'll post up a journal when I start streaming. Which story will get finished first depends on which I feel like finishing first at the time. Sunday, June 12th: Starting at 1000
COMICS! This time, I'll be doing story requests in the format of a comic script (no I am not drawing you an actual comic lol). No pictures required, just ideas. Perfect for use in comic commissions or just for something different from the norm!
Standard page format will be 2 panels wide, 3-4 panels high, with an arbitrary number of pages. However, I'll probably try to mix up the panel arrangements a bit as needed or desired (ex. extra wide panel for a horizon, big panel for extreme perspective, etc.).
Why comics? Well, because I need practice arranging a story in comic format. Comics need page-specific pacing and have panel space issues and lots of other nuances that regular stories do not have and which will be interesting to deal with.
... Also I kinda promised a friend *COUGHTHEAWESOME
bobertCOUGH* that I would work with him on a one-shot comic and I wanna give him something workable, which I don't feel confident I could do now.

A: I post a journal once a week on Sundays which lists the times I will stream that week. If something comes up, I will put a note in the name of that journal (UPDATED! or something like that) to warn people of the change. All times listed will be in EST (U.S. East coast/New York time), and are subject to vary and/or change without notice. HOWEVER: Lately I have been having trouble finding time to stream and haven't done so in literally months, so please don't worry about why you haven't seen any lately!

Q: Are there any topics I can suggest for a guaranteed spot?
A: No. Some topics (*COUGHGROWTHCOUGH*) are certainly more likely than others to inspire me, but even I get surprised by what gets my muse moving sometimes. Even if it's not my normal bag of tricks, you might still get a story.
Q: Are there any topics you will NOT do?
A: Yes. I don't disagree with writing stories about almost ANY subject from a moral standpoint, but some topics pretty much kill my mood to do anything but sigh despondently and/or hunt for brain bleach. In no particular order, they include (but may not be limited to): prominent/throbbing veins, watersports, scat, anal play, sexual abuse of a creature with an intellectual capacity of or less than that of a young adult.
Q: Wait, does that mean you won't do mansex?
A: Not traditional mansex, but besides that I have no overall objections to writing gay porn of either gender. You can request snuggling or frotting or handjobs and so on. Just don't expect to see cuddlemen as often as lesbians.
Q: I want to keep my hyperphilia/macrophilia/dendrophilia/whatever a secret from prying, judgmental eyes, but I also want to suggest a story! What should I do?
A: In that case, probably search for other authors in the fandom (there's plenty, trust me). If I write a story, I would like to be able to post it in my gallery for others to enjoy, even if it's stuff I don't enjoy myself. If you just wanna make a surprise gift for someone or something, though, we may be able to work it out... Maybe.
Q: Why do you keep writing about X?
A: Probably because I LOVE 'X' and/or because people in my streams LOVE telling me to write 'X.' If 'X' bothers you, I do make a serious effort to list what sort of topics will be covered in every story I post. If the content warnings or keywords list 'X,' please do not read nor explain to me why 'X' is not your favorite thing and move on to 'Y.'

A: Unless I have died before I had a chance (unlikely), you should probably just be a bit more patient. I've started waiting about one week after a stream to post the results, since it takes time to convert them into FA's .txt format for readability, and they often end late at night.
Q: How can I know when you livestream?
A: I post a journal once a week on Sundays which lists the times I will stream that week. If something comes up, I will put a note in the name of that journal (UPDATED! or something like that) to warn people of the change. All times listed will be in EST (U.S. East coast/New York time), and are subject to vary and/or change without notice. HOWEVER: Lately I have been having trouble finding time to stream and haven't done so in literally months, so please don't worry about why you haven't seen any lately!
Q: I have an idea for an upcoming stream, but I won't be around while you're streaming! Can I send you the idea in advance?
A: Well, yes, you definitely can... But I'm much less likely to write a story for someone if they aren't available when I need to ask them about what they want (especially if I don't have a really good idea from LOTS of previous experiences with them), Still, you might bring something to my mind. No promises, either way.
Q: I was watching you in the stream, and you spelled a word wrong!
A: Notify me, PLEASE. I may have been inventing a neat new word (or a dumb one), but more often than not I'm simply derping out. I do not bite advice-givers! Except the ones who are into that kind of thing!
Q: Can I have sex in the chatbox while you livestream?
A: wut
Uh, I mean, depends. As long as it's not getting disruptive, I probably won't care. However, if other people in the stream start complaining, I will request that you take the RP'ing to another medium. Odds are, my stream chatbox will NOT be an ideal place for intensive RPing, though.
TOPICS:
Q: Are there any topics I can suggest for a guaranteed spot?
A: No. Some topics (*COUGHGROWTHCOUGH*) are certainly more likely than others to inspire me, but even I get surprised by what gets my muse moving sometimes. Even if it's not my normal bag of tricks, you might still get a story.
Q: Are there any topics you will NOT do?
A: Yes. I don't disagree with writing stories about almost ANY subject from a moral standpoint, but some topics pretty much kill my mood to do anything but sigh despondently and/or hunt for brain bleach. In no particular order, they include (but may not be limited to): prominent/throbbing veins, watersports, scat, anal play, sexual abuse of a creature with an intellectual capacity of or less than that of a young adult.
Q: Wait, does that mean you won't do mansex?
A: Not traditional mansex, but besides that I have no overall objections to writing gay porn of either gender. You can request snuggling or frotting or handjobs and so on. Just don't expect to see cuddlemen as often as lesbians.
Q: I want to keep my hyperphilia/macrophilia/dendrophilia/whatever a secret from prying, judgmental eyes, but I also want to suggest a story! What should I do?
A: In that case, probably search for other authors in the fandom (there's plenty, trust me). If I write a story, I would like to be able to post it in my gallery for others to enjoy, even if it's stuff I don't enjoy myself. If you just wanna make a surprise gift for someone or something, though, we may be able to work it out... Maybe.
Q: Why do you keep writing about X?
A: Probably because I LOVE 'X' and/or because people in my streams LOVE telling me to write 'X.' If 'X' bothers you, I do make a serious effort to list what sort of topics will be covered in every story I post. If the content warnings or keywords list 'X,' please do not read nor explain to me why 'X' is not your favorite thing and move on to 'Y.'
What? You hate 'Y?' GOD, you can be SO picky.
Q: You wrote about 'Z' once before, but now you say you aren't a fan of 'Z?!' I'M SO CONFUSED!
A: I will write about topics I do not enjoy, or even dislike (excluding the major no-no topics listed earlier). Maybe for practice, maybe for a friend, maybe because it was part of a request whose other aspects I dearly loved. So don't decide against trying to give me ideas just because it involves a topic I don't normally like!

Q: Can we RP?
A: Probably not. You may be able to catch me on the BigFurs IRC, but even that is pretty iffy. Besides which, I am not very comfortable with one-on-one RPs, especially sexual ones.
Q: Can you teach me how to write better?
A: Practice, study others' (preferably GOOD others') writing, learn the language and its nuances, and make sure you're actually ENJOYING what you're writing.

Posted 14 years agoTimes are subject to change if something comes up. When the stream is starting up, I'll pre-post it's submission in whatever category I expect to be most appropriate, and once we're done I'll replace that with the actual stories.

Monday, May 30th: Starting at 1000 (Rescheduled from last Wednesday)
Subject will be COMBAT! This doesn't HAVE to be two furs punching each other in the face, though- any type of competition, whether fighting, comparison, growth contesting, etc., will be considered.
EDIT: Pushing this back from 1200 to 1000, since I DO have a family event later in the day after all- I KNEW there was one, I just couldn't find any records of it.
Thursday, June 2nd: Starting at 1915
This will be another "Give me a picture for ideas" stream. I'll ask the audience to link to a picture, pick one, then write a story either based on it or inspired by it. I'm only going to be doing two or three, this time, probably, rather than staying up until 2 in the morning.
Saturday, June 4th: Starting at 1300
Another weird-themed stream: this one is all about a new character, Akomachi Kami. a powerful Myobu (that is, a kitsune in the service of Inari):
A sunrise-yellow kitsune in the employ of Inari AEsir. Akomachi is incredibly powerful, having been granted many gifts over the aeons of her faithful servitude, but she tends to keep most of them sealed away using a vast multitude of paper seals. Tear a seal, and one aspect of her powers will be released, changing her physical and/or spiritual form in the process.
I will ask the audience for ideas about what seal to break (and/or, if needed, which seal(s) to restore) next, then describe what happens to her as she changes. There will be opportunities to interact with her during and between the unsealings, as well. These seals can change pretty much ANYTHING about her, no matter how crazy, so don't hold back on the creativity!
More straightforwardly, this is pretty much an interactive crowd-sourced "choose your own change."
Questions welcome! Insults and tomatoes not welcome! Carrots okay as long as they aren't thrown too hard.
