Guys, fantasy is fantasy.
I swear kids these days are so lost in their own fantasies of thinking they helped by reblogging or retweeting, they have trouble identifying reality. At which point you should get off the internet, not a healthy place for an undeveloped mind.

Fantasy is fantasy. I know for a fact I would not enjoy a lot of stuff in my gallery if it was real. For example: THIS WOULD NOT FEEL GOOD in real life. In real life my jaw bone would be strained, my anus would be stretched to the point it probably wouldn't close. Hell, in real life THIS WOULD BE INCREDIBLY PAINFUL FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE and thus, we spend hundreds to commission it, instead of buying the equipment to do it.

The point is, rational people enjoy kinks ONLY in fantasy.

I remember struggling to find good games, going into Blockbuster video seeing if there is something that didn't look like total crap.
I remember hunting around for good youtube videos. After rewatching JonTron or PeanutButterGamer 7 or 8 times, I looked around for other great youtube gaming videos. There were none.

I also hope megas and legendaries are no long allowed in online Battling. Balance is thrown all out the window if you think Xernas and Mega Kangaskan are good for the game. Seriously, those two make Mewtwo in gen 1 and Arceus seem balanced.

I'm going to try my best to be more active :)

1. No gyms!

Lets be honest here, gyms are very lackluster. They are barely memorable and come off as mediocre puzzles. I am very excited for the island challenges, more of the fact there is only 4 of them, not that I hate the idea of 8 gyms but less means less padding. Lets be real here, how many of you remember what the second gym was in X and Y? I only remember the 4th but that is because it's the freaking Eiffel Tower.

2. Team Skull!

This is how I expect most Pokemon crime organizations to be. Team Rocket were thieves, Team Plasma were basically PETA but everything else. Team Magma, Aqua, Flare, Galactic? To connect to a hero, you need a villain. It's easier to see who someone is with someone they are not. Team Skull is the ideal Pokemon gang, they are just assholes that do what they want. Which, if you were running around with a powerful Pokemon team, you'd do the same. They are a gang and behave in a true gang fashion. Something none of the other organizations ever did, act like themselves. Can you believe that in the games, Team Rocket has never official stolen another trainers Pokemon, they only said they want to do it; but Team Plasma actually has stolen Pokemon from trainers?

3. Beautiful Backgrounds in Battles!

As silly as that sounds, Sun and Moon is the very first handheld game that shows not only the surrounding background but as well as the other trainer. This is a very big deal, as for a long time battles always felt extremely separate from the world. This has been a big problem for Pokemon games since it's creation. Hell, even in the console games they use a generic and bland backgrounds. If you watched the latest trailers you can see the world oozing with personality.

4. No more mega evolutions! (hopefully)

I like the concept of mega evolution. I absolutely despise how it was implemented. They literally took a good portion of the most popular Pokemon and made them more powerful. It was almost like a half finished concept or a ploy to sell more toys. Here you gave Charizard 2 mega forms, Tyranitar and Garchomp mega forms, which they really didn't need. I get you have over 700 Pokemon and to give just 10% of them mega forms is a lot of work. That is still no excuse for giving more love to the overly loved. Not to mention mega Pokemon were not balanced at all and made a necessity to have one. I'd go as far as Gen 6 was the worst generation for Pokemon and mega evolutions are mostly to blame.

So yeah, fuck megas, that cheap marketing tactic needs to die with them.

5. Alola forms!

This makes much more sense and feels right compared to megas. Simply Pokemon that is different because of their region. Megas were a flat out buff to the Pokemon, nothing more too it. Now, it's too early to say if alolan forms are more powerful but it's a possibility, but it's safe to say it's not a flat out power increase for the sake of money. In a world that is all about evolving, evolving to the environment makes much more sense than mega evolving.

6. Actually creative abilities!

Ahh, finally. Something that can define a Pokemons play style. Now, unique and fun abilities have been around, but a majority just not good. Keen Eye, prevents your accuracy from getting lowered? Woo? Not to mention there is like 8 abilities that do the same thing. Heal 1/16th of your health at the end of every turn when X is happened. SNORESVILLE! Pressure? Why would anyone want that? So many abilities that added nothing to the game. Finally they are taking the mechanic that had way to much neglect and taking it more seriously.

7. Less gimmicks!

Super training and Pokemon Amie were cute for an hour or two, but they lose their luster very quicky. You don't really do anything with the Pokemon, once again, it was just a marketing tool. "Look, you can train with your Pokemon! But not really, you place them on a hover board and fly around dodging and shooting." "Look! You can pet and feed your Pokemon! But that is basically it, they can get a boost of EXP and other unique things for battles, happy grinding!" So far Sun and Moon hasn't shown anything that feels like a overhyped mini game.

I've been seeing this time, and time and time again.

Guys, listen, you CANNOT justify the internet. It is too vast, has too many people. To say things like, "Well, you should expect X to happen on the internet," is pointless.

While art theft may not ever happen to you or your friends. But for all you know, the lack of creditably or plain theft could have had a drastically negative effect on other artists lives. People that were heavily impacted and suffered because their art was stripped away and shared so much that the actual artist that spent dozens of hours of their hard work on just remains unknown.

In otherwords, everyone is connected to the internet these days, you CANNOT justify everyones actions or words on their behalf.

Stating, "You should expect your artwork to be shared." Is just as meaningless as "You should expect to die in a war." Expecting it doesn't mean it's okay. Sharing artwork without permission and/or without credibility isn't right. Period.

Now, what I'm going to say doesn't just affect MegaWaffles but many, many other artists that did the same path.

Art is NOT a popularity contest. If you are upset that other people are sharing your work, you should NOT be an artist. It is quite literally the wrong profession for you. There is a difference between wanting credibility and demanding it. It's downright childish to demand that your art has the attention to only you and nobody else.

My father is an artist, my best friend is an artist. My father had to support himself and 3 other people for decades, while times were tough, not once did he desire to make sure that his art belonged to him and only him. Not once did he need all the attention of his hard work to belong just to him. Why? Because that is not what art is about.

Art is YOUR physical expression, treating it as a popularity contest is insulting to art and artists everywhere. Period.
