Updates: Change in Leadership & Telegram Group!

Allow me to introduce myself: most furs call me Silky (
) and I'm a graduate student here at WVU!
First off, thank you to the previous page owner
hootie~ for maintaining this page for years and keeping the community alive. Now that he has left the area, he agreed to let me take over and keep the page updated for current-generation WVU furries. So, hello and welcome! It is my hope that we can become regularly active, and be an ongoing resource for incoming furry students to socialize, mingle, and make lasting friendships.
I also have many contacts with the Pittsburgh community, and will be organizing monthly trips to their very popular furbowls!
Local meets will be announced here via journal posts, but we often get together for spontaneous shenanigans (trips to Vice, random hangouts, etc). For those you should definitely join our Telegram group! (https://t.me/WVUFurs)
Anyway, I will avoid the wall of text and keep it brief. Please feel free to send me a note here or a message on Telegram (SilkenPaws) if you have any questions, comments, or just wanna chat. Have a great semester!

[WVU Furs] Halloween Fur Meet Information

To start off, we wanted to let you guys know that the previously scheduled meet for October 8th has been rescheduled to October 29th so we can have a meet to better celebrate Halloween. This way, we can give you guys more of a heads up before the meet and adjust our plans/schedule to better tailor to the schedules of those who may be interested in joining.
As far as a schedule for what we have planned, we're still planning on going to the Suburban Lanes Bowling Alley which is located next to Keglers (nearby the medical campus). Though don't worry about how decent you are at bowling, we're not all that skilled ourselves! We hope to start the bowling around 7:30~8:00, depending on everyone's availability.
Aside from the bowling, we are hoping to meet up after we finish bowling at our fur apartment to hang out and celebrate the Halloween weekend! We hope to have some candy and snacks while we chat, watch spooky movies and shows, and possibly sketch art (bring your own supplies if you'd want to do that). And, since it is the Halloween weekend, you are more than welcome to come in your suit!

$5.75 per game
$3.75 shoe rental
+ any extra food costs you may spend during bowling
PARKING:
For the following Halloween/Apartment meet-up, street parking can be hard to find. So to avoid any problems with parking, WVU offers a short-term lot next to the Erickson Alumni Center ( which is located at: 1 Alumni Dr, Morgantown, WV 26506 ) which is free on the weekends. If you are wanting to look up the specific lot itself, it is referred as short-term lot 8 (http://transportation.wvu.edu/parki.....ort-term-8-lot )
SUITING:
Suiting is permitted as long as you keep in mind others personal space or preferences

- Meets occur sporadically, and will be announced via journal posts. We frequently get together for spontaneous shenanignans though! For less "official" get-togethers you should join or Telegram group: https://t.me/WVUFurs
- Dates and locations will be announced, but they are usually in the evening at Silky's apartment: 224 1/2 Cornell Ave. (if the GPS does not recognize 1/2, just use 224)
- There is one parking space available, two if you squeeze, and street parking may be available. First come, first served. Show up early if you're driving!

- Be respectful of your surroundings. You are at a private residence!
- If we do meet in public, conduct yourself in a family-friendly and respectable manner. You are representing the fandom!
