It's Been A Long Long Time

All in all, not too much.
I've been:
- finishing my degree at university (not so exciting lol but finally finished it),
- joined a gaming community and help to run the ARK server
- working as edited staff at Soquili (an old animal Roleplay community from 2005 with 14,000+ characters)
I've spent a lot of time doing artwork for others at Soquili but would like to get back into artwork and painting for myself and my own characters a little more as well, some anthro and some not (the ones that are not will probably be posted on my new DA account).
I created some characters from a loosely inspired/simplified version of dungeons and dragons (URealms) and some of them turned out to be pretty funny so I kept them. I'd love to create some characters for the actual dungeons and dragons game and play one day, it does seem overwhelming to get into but it looks like fun. :D
It makes me sad how long it's been...

Okay so updates!!!
Moved Out
Since my last journal post I've finally moved out of my parents home (although they are still being somewhat clingy), I'm very happy there. Reather than being home sick… I am sick of home!
Student Finance
I am still wrestling with student finance… rang them a stupid amount of times, owe my boyfriend so much… this is just getting stupid and i'm just getting so mad at them. They've told me so many diffeernt things which havent happened and sent me duplicates of many letters of which they say I don't need to return because i already have them. I rang a girl today 'Stacey' and after a bit of time on hold mid call she says 5 days..I hold them to that or I'm making another complaint email…they hadn't even replied to the first one…
hopefully I don't have to stop my course because of it… It's not easy… I'm so behind …wdskhjlh;ldflh;
20th Birthday
It was my 20th last wednesday (2nd October). Had a nice day overall. Had a class photo (well half of the class) in the lecture theatre and had my birthday sang to me by random people on my course! xD
Got a nice new shiny Ibanez bass, shall be playing him everyday. >8D
There were some family arguments between my brother and dad, glad I wasn't there… things like that always happen (see why I wanted to get away? ), it totally made the end of the day awkward and my brother didn't attend my birthday dinner because my brother and dad wouldn't sit together. I'm glad I took Will along with me, he helped me feel a lot better and it was alright in the end once we all managed to cheer my dad up.
Cycled through my messages when I got home and replied to each and every one of them, I am greatful for each and everyone… was quite overwhelmed… ^^
Furmeets
I haven't been to a few furmeets now but I am going to be coming back! I will be attending the next furmeet (Oct 12th) to see all my friends and help out as a volunteer (I find this a better thing for me to do because I can be quite shy).
Gender Identity
I suppose I've always been thinking about this since forever but I've always put it to one side (sorta like my sexuality really). In my family it is seen as a disgrace to be anything other than your assigned gender at birth. I have always been teased or been pushed down because my sex is female and I've always had the female gender pushed on me by my mum, although it has been met with resistance over time i got tired of fighting…
I do not feel that I am really all that female but gender fluid (mostly agender leaning towards male), I'd come to this realisation probably about 5 or 6 months ago but hadn't done anything about it.
In all fairness when the gender question pops up on a form or application I don't think I'll complain about there not being an agender or non-binanry gender or other gender variant option. I'll just tick female because that's what society understands best. Is that so bad? I don't think so, I just don't like to make a scene about these things.
I think now I have a little more freedom I may try to embrace this rather than push it to one side because my family don't approve (they've always made it very clear).
I have been fortunate enough to get my binder from the MORF scheme and would happily repay them when I can or even raise money for it. It has sparked a confidence in me although I admit that some comments can shoot me down again and make me feel like shit (I have had a few which have made me a bit meh feeling)… x.x;
I'm trying to make things better one step at a time though, I don't mind being being reffered to with the pronouns he, she or they. But please do not use it or anything similar… (it's a little bit rude…don't ya' think?)
Time Management
Well things have been up and down. I've been sketchy… still getting used to the routine. I'm doing more art again, even planning some cute little flash animations… not sure whether to upload here or to another account though. ^^
Best ways to get me are Facebook, text or emails… that always gets me straight away. ^^

June Sketchbook Auction
Posted 12 years agoWell June marks the start of my summer which will mean i'll have alot more freetime on my hands, people who know me well know I have been a consistenly hard working busy body all year.
I'll be glad to take a break from all the sciencey stuffs but would still like to keep myself busy with something I'm interested in and this is of course art. :)
So I want to do a sketchbook auction in June.
The sketchbook will be A5 and probably will have 80 - 100+ pages.
I want to do a little ladder auction and see how it goes, it works for me because i can get more practice and it works for whoever wins it because they're getting art of their characters or their friend's characters (with permission).
I am permitting 10 characters maximum for me to draw, for the price autobuy and a max of 3 characters for the lowest rung of the ladder.
More info about what peole will be getting will be put up when I put the actual auction up.
The auction may be bid on by individuals or people in pairs or trios (although, who keeps it would have to be discussed and no more than 3 people may put in a collective bid).
I may be looking for someone to collab with me on this (I may already have someone), but we will see.
I've asked if people would be intersted and it seems it's possible.
The materials used will be pencils, colour pencils, watercolour, biro, inks, acrylics and more.
I also like to mess with collages and textures so it's a whole load of fun.
For this I will be using good quality watercolour and acrylic paper for heavier work.
I'll let you know when it starts, it may begin before june and end in june or start/ end in june. We'll see! ^^

Might make a tigress partial from it… although I don't have an airbrush or the skill to do her in cut fur so it's most likely the blank will sit around in my room unused. xD

Summer Project: Resin and Silicone casting ->Realistic Suits
Posted 12 years agoSo I've decided to take on a couple of projects in the summer if I have enough money for it. ^^
I've had so much fun sculpting with clay with good results that I want to take on a bigger project.
In the summer of 2013 I want to sculpt and resin cast my own fursuit head blanks. If successful theses blanks will probably be sold for £20 - £30 a throw (probably for the latter because I want to ensure it arrives to the customer safely, also a lot cheaper because I'm not a professional but I still think it'd cover material costs and give people a good starting point).
I plan on trying to make the following:
Basic canine (probably wolf or G Shepherd)
Small Cat (for a suit for raffix)
My future aspirations after those would be to do:
a big cat mould
a fox mould
and possibly a special Boxer mould for myself. xP
I want to start to also cast custom silicone paw pads with UV and glow in the dark properties if desired for about £15 - £20 a throw and noses for £4. xD
I think the benefit of buying within the UK if you live in the UK is no shipping taxes! xP <3 <3

Fur Suit building and practice commissions this year

I have already done a lot of things in art, sculpturing and most importantly textiles so this to me is just using these art forms to make something different.
I want to make some partial suits based mostly on the cost of materials used and the shipping (postage and packaging). Ah, you'll have to wait until you see my current one furred and shaved I'm trying to incorporate my yarn technique into the fur for intricate markings without having to cut materials making it look more realistic.
Partials include:
A head
Hand paws
A tail
This does not include:
Foot paws (these are optional, I understand that all shoes fit differently and that shoe sizes can be bigger or smaller than you say so I'm going to work out what I want to do with this in the future.) -it is subject to change.
I try my best to get samples and source fur from sellers within the UK although I can buy fur from abroad this can be sometimes pricer if you consider taxes.
I won't be offering any cheap suits until I get my first one done, while these may not be the best, I think they may be good starter suits to practice fur suiting in until you move onto full suiting (if you plan to). :)

Boxer Fursuit

I don't care what anyone thinks!!! I'm just gonna go ahead and make a suit… even if it's only a partial I'd be happy.
I really want to make a boxer fur suit because my life is pretty much centred around the breed, it'd be lovely to wear it at crufts around where the boxers are, I think some people may not appreciate it but others would love a picture! :D
It's the sorta creative thing i'd love to do and think it's worth a go!!!
I've recently opened a tumblr which I will soon post on, it's just used for asking me questions and I'll post about things which inspire me!
