Regarding Regular Commissions (G)
Not going to lie, I've been planning YCHs, opening "Surprise Me" comms, and relying more on my Patreon and Subscribestar for income a lot lately because I'm hesitant to open for regular custom ones...
Because my last opening was before my move, I planned to raise my prices afterwards since now my living situation has changed and my income has to be larger than what I was making before. I'm finally out of the family house, living with friends in an apartment, and looking for a house to rent by February. I'm states away from family, so getting back home if things were to ever go south would NOT be simple or short of expensive, and I'd like to avoid having to return.
I'm nervous to reopen for comms with bigger prices because I KNOW I'm likely to lose regulars who favored my current prices. I'm having second thoughts on whether my art is worth waiting to save up and buy a slot, and afraid I'll get grilled and guilt tripped into just backpaddling and lowering the prices again with constant complaints. I know I can't please everyone, but..... jeez...
I know I need to just nut up and change the prices, I just hope I can handle the possible downslide of work..
