RUOpen and other plans

Firstly Yaa Eakas Portal is back. Jeez not having that place to get smut from was driving me crazy. Anyway, if any of you also follow Little Rover you would of seen his announcement that we are now engaged. And here’s me saying that we are engaged! Hurray number two! What's a pain though is that he was born in a different country. The USA is bloody massive and yet he couldn’t find a decent place to be born in, how rude. Joking aside if Rover had been living in the US then he would probably of already moved in with me. As it is we probably have another year of immigration to deal with before we can even live together long term. Sarcastic hurray.
So pleasantries out of the way here’s the big matter, RUOpen. What is it? If you’ve been paying attention to Rover’s blogs a while ago he mentioned the project the two of us are working on at the moment, but didn’t describe it at all. In the short term it’s an RP tool. See Rover and I like to RP together in a style much like DnD. The complexity we want is far too much to keep track of with just notes. The tracker will do things like roll hit and damage automatically. Keep track of bodily fluids and other character stats. How long it takes a creature to digest, and how long till the pred needs to eat again. That sort of stuff that’s really hard. But we don’t plan to stop there. Long term plans are rather ambitious. Long term we hope it to be this strange mix of DnD, RPG maker, Skyrim, Paper Mario, and Minecraft. It’s a complex goal so let's break it down.
Visuals: The game will have visuals inspired by paper mario. Characters are 2D images in a 3D environment. World Objects will be simple polygonal shapes with more 2D Images to flesh them out. Think early 3D games like Ocarina of time. This style was chosen for speed and accessibility. Allowing us to make a wider array of content utilizing more stylized graphics to look nice rather than just a handful of high quality things. The method of making the Character images is not decided however, and the game will probably support different methods.
Gameplay: The gameplay will take a heavy influence from DnD. In fact we intend for people to be able to play DnD in RUOpen and many other types of RPG games utilizing a fairly simple ruleset system. Gameplay varies from a straight turn based system to a pseudo real time system where each individual action takes time to execute. And yes I said play DnD in RUOpen. Play multiplayer with the DM mode where one player is given control over EVERYTHING, and I do mean EVERYTHING. From what abilities the players can have to what the enemies do, and even the result of attacks. With multiple options for how much the DM wants to automate the game. Directly control the big monster and let the AI handle to minions? Sure! Have the game check with the DM before each attack goes through or only when it would inflict fatal damage, or never? That’s your choice! The game is designed to be as OPEN (hehe) as possible. And no it’s not multiplayer only. Their will be single player player content. In a massive world generated by the game as a sandbox for you to do whatever the fuck you want in. Creating the AI for this is going to be tricky, but by golly we are going to try! This leads us onto the truly exciting part of RUOpen.
How RUOpen is open: RUOpen is set to be unique. We intend to release the base version of RUOpen for free. Release the dev tools for the game to everyone for free. And allow people to be completely free to make whatever they want for RUOpen, and even make money off those projects however they wish/are able. Thus the comparison to RPGmaker. Many vore games are currently being made in RPG maker. We hope thoughts projects will find a better home on RUOpen. But RUOpen is a lot more than RPG maker. Because unlike RPG maker RUOpen is playable right out of the box. This means that people don’t have to make full games to contribute. Much like the Skyrim modding scene people can add a single character to the world, or a new class to game. Players can choose from dozen of different creators content and the game stitches all of these things together into the world. I’m sure you're wondering how we will support ourselves through this? Well the modern world offers lots of options. We hope Patreon will be good to us. We have seen the money that fetish games can rake in on that platform. We will also look into streaming work on the game has well. And of course we will make our own for sale expansion content for the game. Things like dungeons and NPC’s and such. Charging for mechanics and such would be bad for the game.
So that’s the project. I’ve probably left you more confused because it’s complicated and I suck at explaining stuff. I’m thinking up the games ability trees now which dictate most everything about your character. So tell me what traits you want to be in the game.
Also on a final note Me and Rover have been thinking of community involvement ever since his halloween comic. We also wanted something to be a center point of a discord server for us and we think we finally got something. The Village (WIP name). Okay so what will happen in the village is that you fans will submit characters, and the ones we accept will begin settling a new village. Now the most important thing to remember about the village is YOU WILL NOT CONTROL WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR CHARACTER. Okay this is very important so let me repeat it again. YOU WILL NOT CONTROL WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR CHARACTER. Right so to elaborate. You might make the most prey slut character in the world but if they never get targeted by a pred then they will never get eaten. And your big tough pred might fail to hunt any prey they go after and fall victim of the first other pred they have a tussle with. Furthermore if your character is successfully attacked by another player they get to choose what happens. They can rape you, they can vore you in any of types of vore we will allow to happen, and they may even kill you, removing your character from the village. If you submit a character for the village we recommend they be a new character, and to try and remain fairly detached from them.
Okay so how will the game actually work? Well at present we are planning to have once a week update. Each update encomprasses about a week of ingame time has well. During that update you get a brief overview of what happened previously and get to decide what actions you take till the next update. Further contact may be made with players to refine actions during the week when events call for it. Their will be a public section where you can give your actions for that week. You can also send messages to me directly to take actions in secret. You can even lie about what your doing publicly. Everyone will have a job. From cutting wood to building houses. Get to distracted with the recent monster attacks and your job performance will suffer. Now for the fun part. When a player is attacked the identity of the monster will not be revealed immediately. Any art depicting the act will have the pred removed and replaced with a shadowy figure. If they pass their stealth roll of course. So the predators identity will be concealed until such time as it becomes public knowledge. The game will not be limited to just players. A select number of characters controlled by us in the town, creatures and other characters outside the town.
Okay okay last bit. The rules aren’t set in stone but we will put limits on what characters can do like no scat or watersports will most likely be in play. Only approved types of vore allowed which will most likely be oral, anal, unbirth, cock and breast. And what happens when consumed in a certain way is also predetermined with the possibility of certain perks be given for some variety. For now we are going with a non fatal world has Both of us are really moving in that direction. Oral vore will have the character consumed miss a week of work then be released with a debuff that reduces their performance at everything. If a character is consumed with a certain stack of this debuff then they get absorbed and are done for good. Anal will be similar if not the same as Oral. Rover and I can’t figure out what the difference should be. When cock vored the prey will be trapped untill the pred orgasums. It will be possible for the pred to orgasum in private and then imedeatly restuff the prey, extending their stay. When unbirthed the prey will go through a gestation period. If Not rescued within a week after consumption then they can not be rescued. Then when breast vored the character will be stuck until the pred either chooses to release them or they are rescued, though breast vore is extremely difficult to keep secret.
