Weekly Update! (2025-11-17) Leaf It To Me

Hello poxlets!

Well, things are finally settling down! The last few weeks have been extremely intense, to say the least, especially physically as my body has taken longer than expected to recover. Not sure if this is due to all the lifting and moving, or if it’s just because I’m getting older, but the physical recovery for this one was extremely difficult. I’m just glad that because of our planning that we were able to get full nights of sleep during the move and didn’t have to pull all-nighters like we have had to during some of the past moves. Either way, Halloween went off without a hitch, the move happened, and now we’re at our new place and finally getting settled in. We were even able to put up a Christmas tree at the little bean’s behest! n.n

I am sorry that I’m a little behind what I said I would be. My computer had some issues, first with being able to run the net (we had very few ethernet ports and I don’t have a wifi card in my computer, so I had to set it up in the kitchen in the meantime) and then with having to reapply the thermal paste to my heatsink, as that had gotten old and cracked, and come unseated during the move. Now that that’s fixed and my desk has been assembled, everything should be back to operating capacity!

I’m a little apprehensive because I haven’t drawn in three weeks, but there’s not much to do about it but get back to it as soon as possible!

First thing’s first, we’re going to have to deal with the monetary situation.

To that end, I’m going to be running “The Nightmare Before Christmas” in order to settle things the best I can. I’ll post the full details when I’m ready but it’s basically going to be a concerted push to both pay off what I owe from the last several months, as well as prepare for the year to come. It’s going to be rough, but I hope we can at least meet our necessary goals and enter 2026 in a more comfortable state!

There will be discounts on themes, new discount bin items, and specials so look out for that over the months of November and December. I don’t know if we’ll get everything done we need to, but I’m going to try my best, while also doing my best to take care of my health and not get buried under a mountain of work until August.

My sleep has been a lot better recently, and I’m going to do my best to keep it that way! Hopefully that means staying on task a lot better.

During the commission push, I’m also going to be doing the monthly voteys I owe as breaks, as well as making a concerted effort to upload one or two pieces a day to try and grind through all of the backlogged uploads I have and finally get current with that.

Meanwhile, my commission form is more or less ready, I just have to go over it to see if I missed anything, and I’ll be opening that up sometime this week as part of the aforementioned push, so keep a look out for that!

I’ll be working on the site as well little by little. Again, some of the things I’ve been trying have not been working out quite as well as I wanted, but we’ll just have to see if I can adjust them to make them better! Just have to keep at it, after all.

Once this block of things is done, we’ll be getting back to the projects with the Sophie comic, then straight into trying to finish out Part 1 of the first episode of Clara Cosmos! Then after that, well, I’ve got some surprises in store, so we’ll just have to see, won’t we? :)

Now, less pleasantly. I hate to have “pointing at the sign” moments here because it feels like I shouldn’t have to, but it seems that a few people have been ignoring the disclaimer page on my site (I put it there for a reason!)

But there’s a particular part I’d like to point out, because people are being busybodies and talking shit about some of my more extreme stuff and I feel like I need to remind people:

Now, I know for some of you, that might not be good enough. You will believe what you want to believe. And to that, I say... well I don’t care. To me, if you can’t separate fantasy from reality, I don’t want you around me because that is more dangerous than anything that I could make. I will continue to do as I like, and if you would stop sticking your nose in my business, that'd be grand. Or maybe you can go off and actually help someone real that needs it and stop concerning yourself about the fates of someone else's fictional characters.

And too, I know some of the people that hang around me are kind of... chatty behind people’s backs and talk shit about some of the art and subject matter and such that people, including me, do, and some of them are in my discord, even.

And I know who they are. I see you. If you don’t think I do, you’re wrong.

But that’s okay. I’ll remember.

Regardless, I’ve stuff to do and boy howdy, is there a lot of it. But I’ve got projects up the wazoo to work on, and there’s no time to sit still and fret about the world or other people’s opinions. I’ve got a community, and a family to do my best for, and that’s what we’re gonna do!

The Witches’ New Year has come and gone, and we are in the dark season. The days are still getting shorter, and the nights are quiet, so let’s stay warm, cozy up, and get stuff done.
