Heya there~

Just wanna do another lil check-in. More updates on:
- the state of my projects & what I plan to work on
- what I’m thinking of working on
- any other updates
- and let any of you all ask open-ended questions you’d like me to answer.


— Projects & Plans —
Since I've moved, I've made a number of fun drawings, but much less work on big projects.

My main focuses now are on the DITD comic and the next big animation. I've already managed to rough draft a few new pages for the DITD comic. I've also finished a few more animated segments for the animation. Before the next journal, I'd like to have finished the next 8 pages for the DITD comic, and to have at least finished the drawing parts of the animation.

I considered opening for commissions, but those might have to wait a bit longer for me to get settled in and make progress on my current projects.

I want to spend a little bit more time on the PMB comic soon, just so it doesn't take forever to move that forward between writing sessions. I'll aim to have at least 2 writing sessions before the next check-in.


— Ideas —
I was a little late because of the move, but I'm really happy I made time to make a group Halloween pic with my main four characters. ^^
I want to do the same for Christmas - I want to make a few cute drawings of my characters spending time together for the holidays, or at least doing cute/fun little things. For the Halloween pic, I made it as a colored sketch with a background, but I really want to take my time for the Christmas pic. I want to do smooth watercolor lines, and make the background as good as how I made them for the 2021 Halloween pic at the cafe booth or the 2022 Christmas pic with Lantha getting her red and white sweater. I really like how I did the detail and backgrounds for those.


— General Updates —
I'm settled in at the new place, but I'll still be staying with family for the next week or two until they fly back to the US. I feel like I can just come out and let people know I've moved to Colombia in South America. This will be my new permanent residence until further notice. I really want to get my teeth worked on more, and the prices here are way better than in the US. Also, the cost of living is lower, so that will help me not have to budget or struggle as much.

Some people have expressed concern about Colombia being dangerous, which I understand, so I just want to assure people that I'm staying in a nice part of the country with plenty of security guards and local places to shop at, so I'm not traveling far at all. In fact, everything I need is within walking distance, and there's a park with security nearby, so I can easily go walking and get exercise whenever I want. And because the climate here is moderate all year, it's hardly ever too cold to go out walking.

Also, the coffee here is amazing! I've recently bought an espresso machine, and I've made several lattes. I'm actually considering an upgrade soon. I want to go from using pre-ground coffee in a pressurized portafilter to using freshly ground coffee in a bottomless portafilter, like how they do it in actual coffee shops. I have truly become a real-life Buttons. :3
