We have seen a ton of HD Remasters this gen. This cannot be disputed. Recently, Resident Evil 0 HD Remastered just hit Steam. We've had remaster after remaster, and people, like me, proclaiming that THIS is the reason why I'm not buying a PS4/Xbox One. For every brand new game, two quick cash-in remasters are announced. Now, if the game is older than last gen and you're honestly trying to remake and improve the game, that is a reMAKE, not a reMASTER. Resident Evil 0 HD, for example, features a new control scheme that's supposed to make the game more accessible for modern gamers. This I can deal with. Not to mention RE0 was on the Gamecube, two generations ago.

Hell, I myself am excited for Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, since it's a remake of a PS2 game featuring not simply improved visuals, but controls, combat, alchemy, the works. It's a full on remake that's improving the game based on what Vanillaware has learned since with Muramasa and Dragon's Crown.

But now SEGA jumped onto the bandwagon. Valkyria Chronicles Remastered. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!

Thanks, Sega. Thanks for proving the fucking point. Are we going to get ANY NEW games this century or is the PS4 the PlayStation 3; Remaster Edition? Let's get some new games, god dammit!
