Thought I should introduce myself, or rather introduce you all to the character who is Boogie.

Boogie was created in memory of my real life cocker spaniel Boo who died in May 2015 after a misdiagnosis by our vet. She was diagnosed as diabetic and sadly we lost her not many weeks after her initial diagnosis; only it wasn't diabetes, she had pancreatic cancer.

There was nothing we could have done to save her even if we were given the right diagnosis from the start, however, we would have given her anything she wanted during the last few weeks of her life, rather than the restricted diet of nothing tasty she got put on to monitor her 'diabetes'.

She was only 9 years old and I miss her so very much even now; our house is so empty without her bouncing energy and loving cuddles in it.

I had been wanting to get another fursuit from and had decided that i would like to get a generic dog or generic cat that would pack slightly easier than with her huge wings and ears etc. However, when it came to a generic design, I realised i wouldnt put my heart and soul into suiting as a character that meant nothing to me, and so Boogie was born.

I gave Mercury photos of Boo to work from and a simplistic version was drawn which enabled her to become a toony suit but at the loss of some of her spotty detailing. I was fine with this though I am aware that the fursuit and character Boogie is not a perfect match to the Boo i hold so close to my heart.

I am absolutely delighted with how Mercury has brought her character to life, and I only hope that you all see from this how special Boo was, and still is to me even though she's no longer here.

I will probably upload some photos of the Boo at some point.

Meanwhile, i might see some of you bouncing around in UK furmeets and conventions.
