In July 2009, my cartooning & costuming studio went full-time and is now my business, not just a hobby! Check it out: http://www.adorablefoxie.com
I love constructive criticism, but if you're critiquing be sure to propose ideas I can use for the next project! Just telling me something looks wrong doesn't really help much. Thanks! ;)
Located in Northeast Florida. I go to many of the southeastern conventions (furry, anime, sci-fi) with my hubby,

Some big changes - hoping to move soon, among other things!
Soooo there's a lot on the horizon for me and my little family. After ten years of living in Florida, we're starting to work on a plan to move north. We're eyeballing New England, with the hopes of establishing a brick and mortar store for my soap biz there. Woo hoo! We're planning a vacation of sorts for next summer to scout out locations and find a good spot to land within the next two years or so. If anyone has suggestions I'd certainly welcome them. We're looking at small towns, possibly coastal (though being on a large lake would be OK too) but I really just want to open my shop. It's been a dream of mine to have my own little store some day, and St. Augustine just will not fit the bill like it would have fifteen years ago, when I first moved here. This city is becoming too commercialized, and once someone has a great idea, five more stores just like it pop up around the historic district, so no one truly thrives.
Anyway, the reason we're going next summer and not this summer is because we are expecting another babby this year. :3 We have better timing this time around, as the little peanut isn't due until the week of Thanksgiving - which, while stressful in its own way, at least it's not during Halloween season when my costume shop is at its busiest! This time around has been pretty hard on me, so I'm pretty sure I'm done having babies. I'm only barely past the halfway point, but I feel like I did at about eight months along last time. Then again, with my last one, I wasn't chasing around a toddler while juggling two separate businesses. And I wondered why I've been so tired...
Next month, Ev starts preschool, so that will help ease some of the load around the house for 2-3 days a week. I'll be able to spend full days working, while she's socializing and learning. She's beyond ready for school!
Since we've got plans to vacate the Sunshine State within the next few years, and my little Ev is turning three later this year, I went ahead and indulged in something on my bucket list: a Disney pass. ;) Who saw that coming? I've been taking the kiddo down to the House of Mouse about once a month and just having a blast. Planning on taking Joe (who doesn't have a pass) to Epcot for Food & Wine probably some time in October. So this pretty much leaves "visit the Keys" as the only thing I need to cross off of that bucket list before we move. :P
Finally, I've been scaling back on the conventions I've been working this year. Pretty much my only planned convention for the rest of the year is AFO next month. We might do another somewhat local con in September, but that remains to be seen. Next year we will hopefully be back at FWA! I'll be bringing soaps and scrubs and all sorts of goodies with me. No costume stuff, unless it's been pre-ordered. We're also planning on Animazement (as always!) and after that? I don't know. I'd like to have the soap shop up and running as my full time income by then.
The end!
