Finally decided to get off of my lazy butt and actually update my FA account after much neglect. Still working on recovering from Post-BLFC-Depression. It went by so fast and now I have to face the real world again -- the horror... the horror...
I had a crisis to contend with before BLFC. I lost one of my precious hand-paws!
It was my own fault, as I had been up late dancing at Frolic and had gotten completely sloshed before taking an Uber home. As best as I can figure, the paw must have fallen out somewhere on the way to the Uber pickup. Lesson learned. *face-palms*
I had planned on finding suitable replacements online or commission someone, but, as usual, I procrastinated too long. Desperate measures were called for: I would have to make the things myself. Eeeps! I had never made any fur-suit components...
Matrices and Amazon Prime to the rescue. They promptly delivered a new Brother cs6000i sewing machine and I picked up some fur at a local Joann's. Instructions and patterns were provided by Matricies at http://matrices.tumblr.com/post/151.....basic-handpaws
I can't thank Matrices (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/matrices) enough. Thanks you, thanks, and more thanks!
I at least had some sewing experience... well, kind of. I was the kind of child who asked for a sewing machine for his twelfth birthday instead of Transformers. (That and an Easy-Bake-Oven. You would think that my parents would have at suspected that I was just a bit gay, but no... *shrugs*) . With a little bit of practice I was up an running. A few hours later I had a shinny new pair of hand-paws and tumble-weeds of fur blowing about the house.
It was not nearly as much trouble as I thought it would be and now I think I'm hooked. As my suit is getting a bit old, it's been around for ten years already, I I'm going to try and remake the body suit next. Should be fun!

A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
