Weekly Update! (2026-03-29) Spring Cleaning

Hey there boxes of poxes!

This week coming up is my administrative by-week, so I’m going to be working on getting a few things taken care of!

My main goals for this week are:

- Get all of my 2026 work posted and get current
- Finish fixing up and make examples on the different commission options
- Finish fixing up all the tabs in the commission area (Discount Bin, Rules, etc.)
- Open forms and take enough work to cover March, April, and some of the back I owe
- Attempt to contact my doctor on my blood test results
- Attempt to contact my student loan provider on any changes/updates they need
- Prepare and file my taxes
- Check my various PMs and e-mails, and clean some of those out
- Spring cleaning around my house

It’s a lot, I’ll admit, but it needs to get done and the more I do now the less I have to take care of later, so the easier it will become to maintain. (That’s the hope anyway.)

I want to get back to doing my commission work as quickly as I can, too. Hopefully, my new plan will make it easier for me, and for my customers to manage and keep working through things.

Basically how it’s going to work is that everything will start as a sketch, and then if you are satisfied with that, then that’s fine. Otherwise, you have the option to have it cleaned up, like I do with the monthly voteys, and have various options for how to do that (linework, filling (color/values), shading, and highlights.)

Then we just do it in stages, that way I don’t have to stare down huge commissions with an overwhelming sense of dread and be constantly exhausted from grinding my way through them.

Hopefully this will keep things from getting too arduous.

This is good, because I still have a lot of people on the list whose orders need to be addressed, and then once that’s done, I’ll open up my forms again. I know a lot of you have PMed me over at FA, Inkbunny, and Eka’s, as well as sent me e-mails or contacted me over Discord, and I’m very sorry about not responding to those. I haven’t even looked at the PMs I’ve received unless they were from a site moderator (which is thankfully like, a once in a couple years occurrence).

I know that sucks, and I apologize. I know people have been asking for commissions, and I know people have been asking for art trades and stuff. I just simply have not had the bandwidth emotionally or mentally to manage half this stuff and because of the state of the world, along with sickness and personal social clutter, I’m just now getting back to a place where I can deal with it.

So thank you for your patience, and I’ll contact everyone sooner rather than later, I hope.

Speaking of things that need to get fucking done, wish me luck on my comic work. I know that’s been kicked down the road a few times because of financial stuff, and I’m just trying to noodle at it whenever I can manage. I’ve got some big stuff coming up which I’m excited about, but I don’t know how long it’s going to take, so hopefully things will continue to gain momentum, and there won’t be any huge emergencies forthcoming.

I’m getting too old to pile everything on top of myself at this point and I need some serious personal management. I’ve been playing catch-up since 2018, and I’m really really tired. But that’s okay, we’ll do it, and as long as I can help it, things will continue moving forward.
