Although I'm an occasional and very unpracticed artist when the impulse strikes me, most of the images here are photos of the animals at the Conservators' Center (a wildlife education facility where hubby and I are long-term volunteer/staff). I'm a novice photographer, but sometimes I get lucky. Our beautiful and charismatic animals do all the hard work for me.

To learn more about the Conservators' Center, go to http://www.conservatorscenter.org. We've been the charity for Furry Weekend Atlanta for some years now and are grateful for the support the furry community. As a long-time fur myself, it's nice to overlap both worlds for a weekend!
Photography Use: Feel free to use my photos for personal, private uses (such as desktop images) or for art references. If you use them for art, I'd love to see what results and be able to share it with others who know these animals well. Any other use of these photos is by request only. Please send a private note. These images are copyright to the Conservators' Center and are a source of publicity and revenue for this non-profit wildlife home. Thanks.
Important Note about Human & Animal Photos:. I may occasionally share images that show humans interacting with wild species. Please remember that these people are all trained wildlife handlers, and this would not necessarily be safe or appropriate for others.

Grym: Updated Refsheet
Finally, at long last, a real refsheet! By the amazing artist Ritwell (on Twitter here https://twitter.com/ritwells?s=20).
gender: female
REFSHEET: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/34044211/
TEXT REFERENCE, if more detail is useful :)
body style: much more werewolf than traditional anthro; heavier, stockier, more muscular; digitigrade; winged. Typical "feminine" features are minimized.
colors: dark black, fading to silver at the edges, especially where there is longer fur such as her cheeks, neck ruff, elbows and ankles, and shoulder cape. While her muzzle is still dark black, the silvering at her cheeks and above her eyes is getting significant.
eyes: bright yellow-gold
body details: Grym is almost saber-toothed, with large visible fang teeth. Large, black claws on all paws. Huge feathered wings that are longer (folded) than she is tall and wider than her height when open. Her fur is thicker and longer than you might expect, especially her ruff and the backs of forearms, thighs, ankles, as if ready for a frigid prehistoric winter. She doesn't have head "hair," but her ruff is dense and distinct. [Her shape should be more animal than human, even though she's bipedal -- especially with regards to breasts. They may give her a little bit of shape, but they are largely hidden under fur and fluff.]
clothing: Sometimes she's just in fur, werewolf-style. When clothed, she is most often in a long, dark rugged leather coat with some flare at the bottom (a "hero coat" -- ala. Harry Dresden, Jack Harkness, 10th Doctor. Gothic drama! Belts and buckles!). If the light hits it right, it might show magical runes engraved in its surface. Beneath the coat, she may wear a wool or leather vest and leggings -- her style more masculine than feminine, and a bit steampunk/gothic. When more appropriate, she may instead wear a heavy dark, hooded cloak with ragged edges.
Feral form? Yes. Not as commonly used.
temperament: Grym most often comes across as wry and grumbly in a mostly good-natured sort of way. She can be intensely serious, reserved, and dignified. She can be warm, affectionate, and gentle. Or she can turn fiercely protective, even savage, if so moved.
magic: She is a magical creature -- largely shamanic, a summoner of shadow and fire. Her magic often takes the form of shadowy creatures, most often a ghostly gryphon, or a group of lions or wolves.
optional accessories: She often carries a heavy, gnarled wooden staff with her. It looks almost fossilized, with vines winding from its knotted top end and down. Rarely, her longer ruff fur is sometimes braided in one or two thin braids.
