Man. It's been years since I've made anything worth noting on here. And now here I am, hat in hand, hoping for help.
Let me back up.

My husbands and I have been struggling for the last two years to maintain a house we did not own, and we were, barely, scraping by. During that time, we had two serious (totalled) car crashes, a burst water pipe in the wall, and an exhausting amount of minor bills that weren't being paid by the homeowner.

This past December, the homeowner, an elderly man and my best friends father, went into permanant nursing housing. Since then, it has been a ticking clock til we had to move out. That move came about this week. And while things were close, I was sure that we'd be alright.

And then the starter on our car went.

We've been struggling, scraping, and scrounging. And we've been making it. However slowly.

We need help. I made a gofundme that I was sharing among friends, in an effort to get enough together to just get our apartment, and now we've suffered another setback.
