The Space Kats
The Nekuomimi are an ancient species which reigns over the Earth's neighboring planet; Mars. Their kind a mystery to the denizens of Earth that have overlooked the planet housing their expansive cities under the surface. The Nekuomimi established a sprawling Empire headed by a monarchy and matriarchy long taking control of the feline species after a catalytic event in their history. The Nekuomimi Empire reigns over the Red Planet. Their focus on the Earth as they observe it but as well to the expanse of the stars of which Humanity has only just began to touch. They may be offended to be considered 'human' from their appearance and being called one despite their similarities. To call a Nekuomimi a 'human' is a rather big offense to them. It's a blow to their ego! But their values hold strong still despite such ludicrous comparisons.
They see themselves as the forerunners within the 'Nei System' -named after their first queen- since the Great Revival. Their advancement in technology and as a society stands as a beacon in their eyes even if the ways to attain came with costs. These grand strides bring them a superiority complex at times with a rather 'point weapons and ask questions later' mentality to any newly presented faction which they may feel is a threat to them, or the Earthling world. Though the Felidae blood runs deep, so their curiosity towards the blue and green marble ball is high. They prefer to study it for the time being from afar in the safety of their world or from space. However, they grow more confident as time goes on to attempt stealthy sample collections and exploration missions onto the surface in secrecy. The Nekuomimi still finding themselves surprise at the actions of the Earth creatures. Odd creatures that might one day be brought to unity thanks to the Empire.
There is much for this hidden empire to learn of its neighboring world as much as there is much to learn about the Nekuomimi themselves. Nekuomimi long ago had lost their males and pushed to near extinction. This need for continued survival has forced them to abduct Earth males to breed. Yet this only can create so many new Nekuos; the idea that the Mimi dabble in cloning of their ranks is one that may be rather true as some Earthlings dig deeper into the mystery of the space kitties.
With that introduction out of the way, Greetings and Welcome to the planned hub for all things Nekuomimi and things related to the 'Nekuoverse'. This is the creation of long created about a year or so now that has blossomed into a rather big thing after one day waking up and just thinking "Yeah I feel like commissioning some silly alien cat" well that launched something quite larger than what it was.
The Nekuomimi, and other species contained within this verse, are my own original species and creations although taken a bit of influence from other big science fiction medias which I adore. I hold these species as mine own through copyright and whatever other legal jargon so please ask permission before anything and proper crediting if necessary. I spent, and continue to, plenty of time in getting art and writing up these gals so please no yoinking stuff.
Our protagonists being of course the Nekuomimi and their Empire as they take on the wider universe sometimes or keep to our backyard of our solar system. They are a rather interesting species which one can say are not your typical 'heroes'. They often times fall into a more 'Grey' form of standing s we'll come to see. But I think that's up to perspective! I mean.. the word 'Empire' usually conjures images I am sure.
A small content warning I will place here: Some of the art that is commissioned or may be commissioned can contain some themes relating to some kinks, likely vore more often than not, but others may be present. Grateful Mimis
a year agoI wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who has decided to give a watch and favorite posts. I'm grateful that folks find the silly space lasses and their verse interesting enough to show some love, even more grateful to those that want to give a little watch to keep up with them. Thank you all so much for the support and I hope I continue to post interesting stuff about the Mimis and their universe for all to enjoy!
