I like to think of myself as a story teller. I like drawing comics because it is a form of telling a story, I love drawing and painting images that provoke feelings and emotions because truthfully, it is one of the only ways I personally can release emotions. I do not wear my emotions on my sleeve, I was raised to be the rock that people leaned on and therefore could not express the emotions I needed to sometimes vocally. I learned to draw them and express them visually. My art for most of the time is very personal and intimate because it is the window into me.

I believe that the measure of ability has nothing to do with where you start, and everything to do with where you stop. There is a purpose to practice. I believe that one is motivated, not talented and thus they practice more from inner motivations. That improves abilities and skills and therefore motivates them further to continue growth. I believe that everyone can become a good artist, because what ever skill level they start with, there is always an avenue they can adapt to and become better at. Art is not always the ability to recreate accurate life through line, color and shape. Art is about evoking feelings and saying something without using words and conversation. No matter where you start, you will always determine where you finish, no one else will and that is the measure of your ability.
