I finally have reason to be happy;
Yet all I feel is despair,
Have I made a mistake
In taking you in;
When all I want, is him?
Should I settle for you,
Because he no longer cares,
Or should I hold on;
To my last lingering hope,
For something to change?

I believed things had changed;
But I had fooled myself,
Things have not changed;
I remain broken and alone,
I remain confused and stranded.
I pray and wait for the day he comes and finds me;
Until that day comes, I will stand;
Waiting,
Hurting,
Praying
And Alone.

Or should I craft myself a new path using this sorrow?
Bury deep within myself these feelings;
Convince myself once more that I am well;
That what I feel is untrue and try to be happy
With this man, who claims love?
