I've always been a bit annoyed when artists and friends change accounts. Seemed like a ton of work to rebuild everything from scratch, plus I had to get used to a whole new identity for them.

Then about 5 minutes ago I was reminded that I never really liked my own user name. I picked it forever ago. Well, even that is only half true. I generated a random name in WoW for a blood elf and tweaked it. That is the ultra secret origin of Sathirran. He had a goatee. Cuz he was a dude. Because I was so not out when I made that character, or this account, for that matter. If you dig deep in my scraps, you will find among the earliest pictures some pictures of a very sad, very generic male coon. And that's just not me. But I've always been trapped with that identity. Part of the problem was I just couldn't think of any good user names. Most of what I could think of were wordy, not exactly names, and slightly pretentious sounding (and taken). But then I remembered a nickname a certain friend used occasionally for me, which happened to intersect with my own name.
