About two months ago my SO go an infected toenail, about a month ago the ER removed the toe nail to clear the infection. He was sent home with anti-biotics and it seemed to be getting better. Until it got worse, yesterday we went to the doctors again, they took one look at it and referred him to a Podiatrist who took one look at it and told us to go check in as a surgical patient at the ER because his toe has become Necrotic... They were supposed to remove the toy and possible the one next to it yesterday. But the concern was 'why is it necrotic' so they ran a whole crap ton of tests and discovered that he has very low blood flow to the leg. So after more tests they were going to put a stint in to try and restore blood flow to be able to remove the toe before the infection spreads more. I received a call this morning that they're now NOT going to put the stint in this morning because of complications with blood clots in both of his legs.

As you can imagine for myself and our child this is incredibly stressful and scary, i am currently unsure how much work I will be able to get done in the next week(s) I am of course going to try my best but the SO when he comes home will need help getting around at the very least. The OTHER concerning part is he's the main bread winner for our household... he will not be able to do his job for the rest of the year for the most part. His boss has offered to put him on desk work (very nice of him) but the reality is we're not sure when he'll get out of the hospital to do even that.

What this means for me is I will be going back and forth alot from the hospital to our house 30 to 40 miles away and also taking care of our child our pets and hopefully our bills. But commission work may slow down which I am sorry for, I honestly need to pick up more work but i'm not super comfortable doing that with how much is already on my queue.
