Getting off Twitter, anybody still around?
First thing's first, I'd be excited to hear from anyone who's still around to read this, but this is where you'll find me now:
_Rho-wolf . I hard moved to this account a long time ago.
So, I've been mostly existing on Twitter for the last long while and I've decided to come back here, genuinely curious if anybody on my watcher list is still reading these. Sufficed to say Twitter was a big mistake. It started as a way to keep up with updates from diaper companies and game companies, then branched into meeting and following cool artists, but that's when I started getting absolutely inundated with a deluge of just constant angry political hot takes that Twitter is known for.
Eh, I don't know, I don't hate ANYONE, but I felt like I was supposed to on Twitter. Whenever I tried to be openly bi-partisan or tried to advocate for letting cooler heads prevail, I got treated with disdain or just blocked by people I otherwise respected. It started to make me bitter and angry. Someone pointed out to me recently that Twitter doesn't have communities, all it has is doomscrolling and ragescrolling. I think it's about time I dispensed with it.
I'm tired of being cranky, mad, and hateful. I'm tired of people being shocked and appalled when I'm not cranky, mad, and hateful. I'm tired of the idea of "being a good person" being entirely defined by flinging shit in the right direction, pardon my French (do people still say that? I feel like a boomer at 26). Look, I'm not naive, I know some people really are just bad people, but most of them are not, and I really want to get back to making friends and loving people irregardless of our differences, not drawing lines around the differences.
So yeah I decided to come back to FA. I'm working on my writing again, have been for a while. If you like Zootopia stuff, you might like what I have. If anybody is still around I'd love it if you stopped by to say hello.
