Weird Underwater Writer | Registered: July 3, 2013 03:25:01 PM
Welcome to the Thrash Zone!
I write weird underwater stories!I'm ThrashMetallix. I go by Thrash or Metallix. You might know me from DeviantArt. I no longer really go there too much. I wrote a semi-popular story there called "Breathing Underwater", and I'm mainly here to keep working on my writing in a bit more of a "mature" style. Which is weird because for a long time, I never really thought I would do this kind of thing. I used to draw, but honestly, I just never got the hang of it, and just don't see myself improving in it, so it's a rarity I do nowadays. I just feel more comfortable writing.
I am a Trekkie, I love mermaids, and I'm a bit of an aquaphile. I guess some people like what I write, and I'm happy they do. If you do as well, I am humbled, and appreciate your support.
Stay breathless!WHAT I WRITE:
I specialize in stories that take place at least partly underwater. The setting can vary. Sometimes they can be shorter stories, sometimes they can be longer. I'm always looking to improve my writing, always looking to give people a reason to keep coming back, and always appreciate the feedback I get.
I'm experimenting with numerous concepts, ideas,
I've been writing on and off for a little over a decade now, and have been a bit of a closet aquaphile for a vast majority of that period as well. Here, I'm experimenting with my works, and exploring my aquatic side with these stories. My feelings on my aquaphilia are mixed at best, and it's something I am not 100% comfortable with. Writing provides escape, and can be therapeutic for me in this regard. I won't go too far into it here, but I'm always happy to discuss it with others. My stories can feature both humans and anthro. Just depends on my mindset.

Please note that I will reserve my right to approve or disapprove each commission request. While I am looking to broaden my spectrum, and write new challenges for myself, there are still certain subjects I will not write about. Writing also takes time for me, and I put a lot of effort into it. Please have patience with me. I enjoy writing for others like me in this regard, but don't want to be taken advantage of either.

COMMISSION INFO (Opening Early 2021) (G)
I will be opening Commissions this January, or sometime early next year (Providing all goes well on my end in terms of getting these next three projects out.) These are my Terms of Service that I will be starting out with, which include prices, and other subjects that you may be curious about.
$4 every 1000 words
I thought long and hard about what I wanted my starting point to be. I believe this is a good start, which allows me to retain some creative freedom, and a low price simultaneously. I tend to write an average of 13,000 to 16,000 words a short story. Sometimes they can be longer, or shorter. It depends on the ideas presented to me. As a general rule of thumb, be prepared to spend anywhere between $40-$60 with me. It could be higher, it could be lower.
PLEASE NOTE THAT PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. In the unlikely event that they change while I am working on a project that you have commissioned, I will honor the original price agreed upon.
If a price is too steep for you, let me know. I will work with you.
Do you accept art trades as payment?
I am open to the possibility of art trades, but here's the thing... I would prefer to be somewhat familiar with your work. I'm not trying to sound like a stickler by any means, but I'm more comfortable with friends or artists I'm familiar with in this kind of thing. You can ask, but I may decline if I'm not really familiar with you. It's nothing personal, again, I just really want my time to be respected in my work, and I have been kinda... duped before. I'd rather not pour days and days into a story I do my best to make sure reads well and is satisfactory if what I get in return was obviously just kinda just done on the fly with little effort.
So I'll be a bit more picky in this area...
1. If the commissioned story contains mature themes, you acknowledge that by commissioning me, you are of legal age within your country of residence.
2. I reserve the right to reject, or cancel any commission. I am not obliged to provide a reason for such an action.
3. Once I agree to a commission with you, I will ask for a $30 down-payment. Full payment will be required at the completion of work. I will hold onto the down-payment as I work, and will be in touch with you in terms of progress, and potential changes you may want implemented. I will happily make any edits, or corrections following your read of completed work. The down-payment will be factored into the final cost of your commission! So for example, if the final cost of your story is about $60, you will ONLY need to pay an additional $30 at the completion of the work since you've already paid $30. Payment will be via PayPal.
4. I only charge via a strict 1000 word basis. I will not round prices up or down based on the final word count. (So for example, if a story finishes with 9,999 words, I will not round up to 10,000 words for a final price.)
5. Again, the $30 down-payment will be held onto throughout work. As I do not require full payment until the completion of the story, it will be up to you to inform me of any reason that would require you to cancel the project before then. I value how my time is spent, and I would prefer that it be respected. If I write out a full story, only for you to tell me that you have to cancel the commission, I will be very annoyed, and will likely bar you from commissioning me again. Please tell me at a moment's notice that you may have to cancel a commission. I will cease working on it, but will not delete it should the situation change.
6. If a commission needs to be canceled, I will refund you your $30 down-payment. Completed commissions however are not refundable. Again, it will be up to you to tell me if a commission needs to be canceled or delayed.
7. I will do my best to be orderly about the order of commissions that are in the available slots. I will be in contact with you (Likely via Discord or Telegram) over progress of your story. If I am in contact with you this way, it likely means that your story is my current priority. Please note that it is in this time that should anything arise that will require you to cancel the commission, this is the best time to tell me.
8. The time it takes to complete your commission will depend greatly on what is going on in my life. Writing for me takes time, and effort, and my environment may not always be favorable for writing. I can have good days, and bad days. Sometimes, I may blast out over 3000 words in a single setting. Others, I may struggle to write three paragraphs that I hate and rewrite the next day. These things can take time. I put a lot of effort and thought into what I write, and while I understand that no one wants to wait too long for anything, I believe that good things are worth waiting for. On average, it may take one to two weeks a story. (I will also be potentially taking medication to help with my ADD which can make things difficult on my end.)
9. I prefer not to work with a deadline in mind. If one is needed, please tell me in advance. Please note that setting a specific deadline may incur additional charges. I do prefer to work at my own comfortable pace, and trying to make extra time in my already busy schedule may be difficult.
10. Once you have approved the final draft, no other additions will be made, and the story will be uploaded. I will be happy to correct any small typos, or grammar mistakes we may have missed, but I will not add any other content to the story. You have seven days after I send you the final draft to request any further changes to the story. Keep in mind that they will be subject to potential additional fees.
- I am very lax when it comes to my work in this fashion, but I will retain copyright to my work. Please do not claim stories written by myself.
- Stories you commission from me (or in a rare occasion, are given from me) may be uploaded to your own personal FA page. If you wish to publish the story to another platform, you must first get explicit permission from me. Please credit me as the author of the story should you choose to upload the story to your page.
- You may not sell my work in any form.
- Unless otherwise stated, I do not own any images or icons used in the FA submission or story PDF file.
- Underwater Content: I am comfortable writing stories with an aquatic theme. I'd prefer to stick to this for now, but am willing to talk about including other themes. These may have various settings, such as fantasy or science fiction. I am willing to talk about stories that may not take place underwater, but please keep in mind that I do specialize in this area.
- Human and/or Anthro: I am comfortable with both. They can be mixed or matched.
- Mermaids/Sirens: I tend to let my imagination run wild with this.
- Potentially Feral: While there are some things I will be hesitant to write about, I'm not against potentially writing feral things, particularly in things like Pokémon.
- Some Fanfiction: I will happily write about your character that is involved with a certain established fictional universe. But please keep in mind that I may need detailed information about the universe in question for more detailed stories.
- SFW or NSFW: At your discretion.
- First or Third Person Perspectives: At your discretion.
- Aquaphilia
- Breathholding/Breathplay
- Drowning/Near-drowning
- Grim Endings
- Asphyxiation
- Peril
- Bondage
- Kidnapping
- Transformation
- Other kinks or concepts that aren't listed here that I may feel comfortable talking about. Feel free to ask via DM.
- Stories that may be considered racially insensitive. Shouldn't have to explain why. Aside from my own personal moral objections to stories like this, I simply have no idea how I would write such material.
- Stories with another person's OC. UNLESS YOU HAVE EXPLICIT PERMISSION (I'm very sensitive to how others may see their characters portrayed in my stories, and I do not wish to make someone uncomfortable due to their characters being used in a story that may be to their disliking. Any story requested featuring someone else's commission, I may ask for proof of permission to use their OC.)
- Sexual content concerning minors. I will be firm on this. I will not write anything about underage characters. I don't care what the context is. Everything adult-themed I write about here will focused adults. No ifs, ands, or buts. I will not write about characters who are not canonical adults at some point in their lives.
- Pedophilia

- Any kink I'm unsure I fully understand or am unsure I'd be able to properly write. You are free to ask, but please note that if I question being able to write about it in a satisfying manner, I may decline.
Please note that these terms and conditions are subject to change at any time. This can include things I will write, or not write about. Things may change as I explore this new territory!
Hope to serve you next year! If you've read through this, then I thank you for your time!
