Hello, my name is Zelda.
I have used other names, but this is who I am now.
I remember my old life, like watching something I'm not a part of.
These are the main characters in my writing.
Zelda Zebra = Started as a secondary character in my writing, not intended to be the writer's ego in any story. It just worked out that way.
Patty Pinto = The life partner I hope to find; this may not be a single person.
Jeanette Le Pew = Who I thought I wanted to be.
Ed = Who I tried to be
May West = My dark side ;-))

I am moving this from my profile to here. I do not want to lose this but it is not my current struggle. I have made my peace with who I am.
For years I felt something was wrong .... I hid.
When I knew it could never be ....I pretended.
When I heard that it was a nasty thing ... I fought it.
When I knew it would never leave .... I tried to die.
When I could not hide or pretend or fight or die ..... I lost hope.
When I asked for help..... I took back hope.
When I felt it as a part of me... I knew need.
When I felt it as me... I knew want.
When I feel at peace with it .... I will know me.

I am and always have been a woman.
I had to live most of my life as a man.
I have struggled to understand just what that means.
I work now on the details of looking and living what I have always been.
