Some progress shots from the set that's been dominating my life for the past few weeks. The TD sat down and did some math and came up with me painting at 14sqft per hour.
I wanted to do a more realistic set for this play, but there simply was not anywhere near enough time for anyone working on this. I was outpainting the carpenters (many students who really stepped up) and had a lot of instances of having to paint stuff to match previous work. The bottom picture is the gate to the Emerald City, which is one of the last things built. The walls fo the Emerald City were the first things with paint on them ^_~
I ended up having to sacrifice a bunch of details the last few days because of added projects. The director didn't like the Great Oz the TD constructed so I had to paint a replacement opening day. It's kinda a 70s deco revival deconstructionist piece of crap XD
I'll replace these with production photos of the finished thing that look all pretty... I hope. I have terrible luck getting shots of finished products.
