there's always need, just not always practicality. It actually works pretty well for me as it makes my Pathfinders rightly feared knowing the broadside has their back. Big tanks don't scare them anymore

it is really impressive. I want to get a second one and kit it out with a full missile profile (Twin-Linked High Yield Missile Pod, Twin-Linked Smart Missile System, Seeker Missile, and two Missile Drones.

I have learned to hate riptides and broadsides with my Blood Angels.

However, Riptide is easy prey for force weapon Terminators.

if you have assault terminators with thunder hammers and stormshields with a librarian in combat with a riptide, then the person with the riptide isn't using it right.

broadsides with velocity trackers are the bane of flyers now.

agreed! thats what the nova reactors 4d6 thrust move is for... last time i used it, i i moved 17 inches away from a squad of termies...

The only reason I got close was because he blew his intercept role in both games. Stormraven with GK termies luckily makes for a good assault boat.
