Yesterday after commission work I decided to revisit one of my favorite personal pieces. I painted it in 2011 originally, over an even older sketchbook doodle. At the time I painted the feathers layered in the wrong direction, so no wonder she is falling! I corrected the feather layering and touched up a few other things as well. Other than the corrected wings, the new version has better facial anatomy, better stars, a bit more contrast where it counts, and a subtle paper texture over the whole thing. I made a test print of it, and it looks so much better than the original in my opinion!

Also I made this into product over on RedBubble (hoodies, shirts, stickers, and iPhone cases), along with some of my other work! The preview for the shirt on RedBubble is strangely washed out, but I don't think it will effect the print.
