Because that is where she sleeps when it's too warm, when it rains, where she awaits her breakfast, where she runs to when danger is around the corner, where she hides when I play with her ...

You share a room with a fox? Sounds fascinating, but I do wonder if foxes are neutral to the smell as cats, or if they have a certain odor like dogs? Or if you actually wash her occasionally like people do it with their dogs?

To my astounding, she smells not the slightest bit. She has no odor, no smell, nothing. That's actually amazing, given the widely known "fact" that foxes smell awful. When I cuddle her sometimes, I take a deep breath while I have my nose deep in her fluff, but she simply does not smell! Also, she is VERY clean and does extensive body care just like a cat. No need to wash her. The only time when she smells a tiny bit is when her fur gets wet.
