Egg: This egg is dark colored and rather heavy.
Hatchling s1: Aww… It’s a cute baby dragon. However, you're irritated by the black powder it leaves on every object it touches.
Hatchling s2: Aww… It’s a cute baby dragon. However, you're irritated by the black powder it leaves on every object it touches. And look! It’s grown ridges along its back and a pair of curled horns. It must be close to maturing.
Adult: Charcoal Dragons are a common, diurnal breed, easily recognized by their large, curled horns and lack of wings. These dragons are strictly herbivorous, enjoying grazing upon grass and sunbathing all day. They usually avoid conflicts and are rather slow moving, though during mating season, males are often seen using their horns in bloodless fights. In winter, they hide in caves where they hibernate until spring comes. Charcoal Dragons mark their territory with a dry, black colored powder, which is produced by the dragons’ skin and scales. The powder markings aren’t resistant to water, so the dragons have to redraw them after every rainfall.
