Now I'm half tempted to try to build one myself :). It would fit in with the tech on my suit when I finish it. If I had the time I would try to do something like this. Just curious, have you considered using servos? They're smaller and often lighter and faster than hydraulics in my experience. If you get metal gear servos they are almost incapable of being stripped. You could make each claw work independently to make some neat effects with it.

Wow and Holy Cow I had no clue on this drawing and yes I did build it for a robot Fox called project cheetah, an akramand ,and have many more scattered parts laying around.
