I love when people draw engines while having no idea what all is involved with them.

Why does the exhaust reattach to the motor? Are they the plug wires? Why is the exhaust coming out of the head? Why are the heads part of the block? Why is the motor so small? If it's a motorcycle engine, why does it have a fan? Etc.

It isn't necessarily for a motorcycle, might not even be an engine, it's just something mechanical thats being worked on. I understand the point though, unfortunately I didn't have time to take a course on all things mechanical before completing this commission.

It's obviously a V6 block but for some reason a motor that weighs hundreds of pounds is sitting on a computer desk with no oil or coolant anywhere. And like the guy said the exhaust feeds back into itself, there's no intake, the plug wires go back into the block for some reason. It's like you saw a picture of a motor at some point and went "oh yeah I can draw that." Mechanical things are just as technical as anatomy, if you're not going to take the time to render them properly then it's going to look like shit and you might as well not bother. Like apparently you did in this case.

You realize that there is a fox sleeping on the bed that does obiously not match any of those "real life" animals, do you? You're talking about a piece of machinery that is merely part of a background of a picture that does not reflect any of your real-life objects. You can either accept that the Fandom is full of random shit that is pure fantasy or you could accept that this engine, if you want to call it that, is not even finished nor does it mean it actuall works if he put that into some kind of bigger machine or vehicle.
What's your problem?!

I agree that mechanical things are as technical an anatomy, and i understand your points. However this piece isn't about a mechanical thing, it's about the subjects in it. It's alright to suspend reality in artwork and represent something in a simpler or even unrealistic way becuase that is what art is a representation. I am sorry if it bothers you that the mechancal thing isn't rendered in alsolute true to life detail however the commissioner and I are pleased with it as it is now. Your welcome to commission an artist, other than myself, to draw you a perfect mechancial thing if you like, then we can all look at how beautiful a piece that would be.
