Thanks for the compliments. :) I can usually spot such differences, and didn't notice it. I did some measurements with a graphics tool, and they're pretty much spot on, if you account for a little bit of foreshortening. Ankles, toe-tops, bottom .. all line up. Perhaps some sort of optical illusion caused by the larger call-out foot in the middle?
Oh, I was talking just about the toes. On the side shot the outer-toe seems shorter/smaller than the rest, where on front they all seem equal size. Then again, it could indeed be illusion, since we cannot see actual length from the front and the one side shot the leg could be at an angle, in which case all checks out fine :)
Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah, there's a bit of ambiguity there, I agree. Good eye! But, whatever way future artists interpret it is fine with me. I wasn't that specific in the ref description, and I won't be particular enough about it to correct it whichever way it ends up drawn, so it's cool. :)
I know how tedious this must've been, but it was brilliant watching it come to life under your talented touch. Rooth himself humbly apologizes for the cramps, and the wrist pain, and all the trials you went through bringing this at last to its brilliant conclusion. You may rest easy, knowing that he will probably never change from this ref for as long as I live, not counting magical dabbling. ;)
Brilliant work, Rukis! I understand now how tricky that fluff can be, but you do it so very well. It's got just the right mix of weight and freedom. And as usual, your anthro anatomy and shading is lovely. You've done a Rooth GREAT JUSTICE!
Thanks again, and I look forward to seeing future projects from ya. :)
