I've been meaning to try my hand at making a plushie for over 2 years now and this week I finally sat down and did it! It was a great learning experience and I hope to keep making them and figuring out how patterns work better :)
Started this little guy Tuesday morning and worked a solid 15+ hours a day on it until I finished it this morning at 5:30 am :) It was a lot more time consuming than I was expecting, about as much work (if not more!) than a fursuit head.
He's not perfect, but overall I'm very happy with him, especially for my first attempt! He's also the perfect size to snuggle and hug.
All handsewn, 100% washable, all faux fur, vinyl, and stuffing, no foam parts!
As of right now I can't foresee myself taking commissions for these! It took over 45 hours to complete, and that plus materials - I would have to charge over $650 just to be making minimum wage. I'll keep working on improving my pattern and we will go from there! ;)

I'm inspired to make my own plushies now! I've wanted to make my own for many years. I just can't find a good pattern to use.
How did you create the pattern? Did you copy another plush by taking it apart?
Once you streamline your pattern, you could totally take commissions for these - the quality is stellar!
