The perspective on this picture is just... pretty near to perfect IMHO. When I take photos, I am always striving to frame an image as meaningfully as possible, but I also end up trying to cram in every detail I've captured in the picture. The ability to show less and tell more is a trained eye thing I don't have yet. X D

Did you draw much more of this picture and crop it down after the fact, or did more more or less compose it precisely like this from the start?

Also, I'm not an artist, but if I were I'm pretty sure I'd be hella jealous of how you've executed the folds in that jacket. >.>

I'd actually had this image in mind for quite some time before drawing it- with this central theme regarding my phone and just how much, at the time, I lived through it and communicating with others. there is more to the drawing, but I felt that it being cropped in this manner made it all the more poignant and hits a little closer to home.

one day, I will start a post-rock band.
it will be called "Reasons For Which My Hair is Cut Short".

though in all fairness, at least three of these titles are from songs.
