I'm probably going to make some shaded stuff after the current arc reaches a good point to pause. Right now, I really need to get the ideas down on "paper" before they evaporate. My regular illustrations are WAY more detailed. But I love the loose look I have going right now, so I'm using it for rapid presentations like this.
These two have obviously had some "issues". I enjoy portraying the emotional turmoil both of them are going through- so many artists fail to create empathy for their characters, and their creations just stand there, like cardboard cutouts. Life is sad. If we knew no sorrow, how would we ever appreciate joy?

There's more emotion in you art than majority of the art I've seen on this site thus far.
Past hurts but wisdom and knowledge learned from it.
To be content with what you have, even if it isn't much and enjoy the time you have with your loved ones.

Waaay back in the beginning of the gallery, after the childhood punishment/ diapering arc, I posted a single image of Ober. He was wearing a green onesie, and socks, with a single rose clasped in his teeth. He is obviously and adult in that shot. THAT is page 1…

These three panels have such a fantastic sense of maternal warmth to them. It almost radiates with... GLHEIAHGDLGHEIAD I JUST LOOKED UP AT IT AGAIN TO FOCUS MY THOUGHTS AND I SAW OBER HOLDING MATILDA'S THUMB AND I FUCKING LOST IT IT'S TOO GOD-DAMN CUTE
Legit, though, I think this may be my favorite set in the entire comic, simply because of how wonderfully sweet and tender these three panels are. Absolutely fantastic job, dude.
