Never really liked NFS:U when I was into cars. It was too "ricey" for my tastes.

I find NFSU cars to be too overdressed like the ones in earlier FaF movies... and gameplay is arcadey.

I liked more of racing simulation... It has the feel of Initial D feel with this game...

Oh yeah, slapping on a whole bunch of accessories and nitrous oxide? Yeah, that game was geared towards the Ricer/tFatF crowd.

I actually want to race touge downhill someday. Racing in general yes, but touge specifically.

Well, I have watched the first two stages of Initial D, but I am bad at recognising a track by such a small piece, so I go for the most classic one: Akina

I have Kaido Battle 2 and its sister game, Shotokou Battle 01. :)

The American versions, anyways, but as I understand it they're more or less identical, just different titles.

I didn't discover the Kaido Battle games until 2 came out here in the States, but I started playing Shotokou Battle way back when they brought it over here on the Dreamcast as Tokyo Xtreme Racer. I remember my mind being blown by the fact that you could customize the cars, and we used to chuckle at the car names they had to use over here because of licensing issues.
