It's the end of the apple week, so I'm rushing around to post the last few that I have as well as at least one pumpkin recipe. Boy I really need something sweet and tasty to help me get through my work night. Oh! Here we are! This is something I enjoy making as a meal replacement, but you can drink it anytime you want. This makes about 4 cups of smoothie, so cut it down as needed.
Ingredients:
2 cups milk (for vegan, try soy or almond milk)
1 cup ice cubes (for a better flavor, try freezing your milk into cubes!)
2 organic apples, chopped (Fuji used here)
2 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 cup flaxseed meal (this can be omitted, but it adds fiber for anyone make a meal replacement out of this)
1 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
Place all the ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
