The fire crackled and spat up embers, dancing fleetingly as the trio of wuffs cuddled close to keep warm. It had been a heavy snowfall, the cold snap keeping many indoors. But to the fluffy canines, it wasn't so bad as long as they had plenty of company and cocoa to go around.
'I think this hot chocolate tradition is my favorite part of this mortal holiday!' said the motherly wolfess, taking a few quick sips with a soft sigh of delight.
'The presents might be the best part for me!' Arctic giggled as she nuzzled closer to an overly green male, his warmth was especially welcomed in this weather.
With a nervous laugh, the hunky canine reached over for the big mug, contemplating the fine company.
'Oh yes! Presents! I do hope I get to unwrap your gift tonight Joshua. We can even… how you say?... See what you stuffed into my stocking?'
The male almost choked at the mother wolf's outburst. His muzzle coming back with more than a mouthful of whipped cream. Alki smiled as she put her chocolatey delight down, moving closer to the Honshu wolf as she swiped a helping of cream for herself off the young male's nose. ’Was it something I said?
