No contest: Full pads.

The black, thicker, coarser skin feels and looks great, plus you can toy with creases and folds, etc. Lots of other things.

Partial pads limit that somewhat. and not as sexy in this case, imo :P

I prefer the part pads most.

I've always thought full pads made more sense with dragon characters, since the rest of their scale patterns tend to be in full sections. This is a really nice pic either way!

In general, I like partial pads better, but I'm too used to seeing your character will full pads to imagine him differently.

Either one's hot in their own way. :3
