It depends, it can be a very time (and money) consuming passion xD I'm not saying that in the bad way, but I have another time consuming passion: drawing. And sometimes I wish I spent more time one one instead of the other or vice versa. But I love them both so I have to somehow split between them xD I'm gladly spending my time for the things I love :)
It's beautiful, music sounds different on a high quality rig. The idea is to turn the listening that was once just in the background, into a full experience :) But for that you need to be able to hear everything in the first place xD There is also alot of technical stuff involved, but the more knowledge, and the better you train your hearing, the better the experience becomes :) The more you experience, the more music itself comes to life! You'll never hear your music in the same way again, ever xD

Hm :3 sounds like its nice! Although with my friend Suunto, it seems much harder to not notice when a rig is not as good x3 and it bothers him, while I'm perfectly happy. Not sure if I want that trade off, haha! Hearing you write about it just makes me want to go out and see a live orchestra though, or go see live music in some cafe, where you can experience other smells and tastes and sights to go along with the sound!
