I think Kellogs invented the cornflakes as a low-calorie filler food which should, supposedly, tame the young men's libido and keep them from being horny. As I recall, it was a Christian Adventist kind of thing. Too much calories, too much energy powering up sexuality centers in the brain.

And I kinda see what could happen next.
