It sounds full, dark, and more new agey than industrial. Good job.

Personally I think 'darkwave' would have been a better match, but I don't remember seeing it as an option. I wouldn't really call it 'New Age' as they tend to have a slower pace from what I've heard.

new wave can be exeedingly fast sometimes. I don't listen to it much but some songs are created to be stormin' and to express a certain mentality such as the mentality of the race, hunt, or anger. Darkwave would require silent yet poundingly harshish drums in the backround and a certain scary or ominous sound that the listener would not be expecting burst from nowhere or slide in and make the hair on you neck stand up. Sort of like resident evil or metroid prime. If it's 8 bit then I would see how it could be Darkwave(which is under the catagory of 80s' music). A good quick new age song with drums is Stranded V1 by
Noisia,Mayhem,Pacific.

Drums are often done as an afterthought by me, because I suck at sequencing them. The final version will doubtless have them. As for what it is, to be perfectly honest, I've never been able to pigeonhole my music properly...

This song would be perfect for breakbeat sequencing mixed with industrial machinery metal on metal sequences. I may not be good at harmonizing and making melodies(just listen to my music and you'll know) but my sense of rhythm is infallible.

EDIT: Does your song tempo happen to be at 100BPM?

I'll have to check, but that's the default for Cakewalk, so unless I've felt the need to change it, yes.

I use modplug tracker and i've only had it since last august or september. Its' default tempo is 125.

So, I know you posted this two years ago, and it may be of little reliance to you now, but I love this track. The attention to sonic detail, and the loyalty to classic equipment really show through. I have, as a matter of fact! ^ ^ The track sounds great with drums, but I'm a bit torn as to which version I like better. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for music without a rhythm section haha. Feels so... Free? Something like that. Man, analog recording packs a punch! I wish my reel to reel was in working condition... *sigh*
