A dear friend of mine passed away recently and to be honest it hit me hard.
'Badwolf' was one of the first true friends I made while exploring SecondLife (of all places..!); we hit it off in-game in early 2011 when my av was dressed most often in a red hoodie. Red Riding Hood and a Bad wolf can't not be friends, after all. :) Never thought I'd be saying that one of my good buds is a Vietnam veteran who turned 68 this year haha. Ever have one of those people where you can talk about anything from mundane music chat to in-depth spiritual musings with and no matter what, the conversation is good and fulfilling because you click? Yeah. We helped each other through some pretty tough times. I have a few pieces scattered throughout my gallery that he commissioned me for over the years.
So... Ed; here's to a wonderful kind spirit, a bright star whose words of encouragement and guidance touched the soul. It breaks my heart that Ceb and I never did get a chance to visit the new ranch like you'd wanted, to see the first batch of honey from the apiary that you and B were working on, to meet the horses that all of you there put your heart and soul into rearing.
In his words; "When your time is up it's up. If you're dragging your feet about it then you probably didn't make the most of things." :)

Sorry for you loss, seems its part of growing up. Already lost two of my close relatives and another on the horizon. In time it gets better and even feel like their always with me, as clique as it sounds. As well as making me stronger and more level headed after the loss, hope life gets better for you.

I'm sorry for your loss of a true and dear friend. :( I think I know who you are you are talking about, when I read the name and how old he was. Was your friend a DJ at YIFF Club by any chance? If so, I have fond memories of attending his sets in 2012, and hearing his amazing whisky accent and engaging voiceovers and fine taste in music. Clearly from your story, a man of many talents and a kind hearted soul
I am sorry for the loss of your friend. If he were alive today still I shake his hand and thank him for his services. A Vietnam veteran had suffered in those days. I just watched "We Were Soldiers" today and met up with this picture and your description. Least now he is with his brothers now. The friends he fought along side with. It sheds me a tear right now to know a Veteran has passed but in our hearts we will always remember there sacrifice. Your friend is an honorable man and what a good thing you did to remember him this way. Oh wow. That's such an amazing story. People talk so bad about SL... But I've made some friendships on there like this as well. I'm so sorry for your loss. Sounds like Badwolf was an amazing person and had a great positive impact on your life. I love this piece. The atmosphere creates a space of peace and serenity. Great work!
