Ok, the colored pics is easy --I got the want to see what Nigel and Joshua would look like as shinies.

The comic? ...well during my latest ustream show, I tried to say "Ralts-line" (as in evolution line) and one viewer* misunderstood that to say 'Ralts-lion". So Kasedilla did some doodles of this...thing...which in turn made me realize this would be what Nigel and CHarla's horrible hybrid offspring would look like and--ok, yeah, this is just crack.
